First up is my longest love, Supia Rosy; introduced to me years ago by the very doll belonging to AtomicSpaceKitty. It was one of the first realistic style sculpts I had ever seen when I first joined the hobby.
Second is Elfdoll Soah. I first saw this sculpt in an issue of HauteDoll in which she was featured in an interview with an Australian seamstress. I was lucky enough to see the sculpt in person and still found that I did like her. Other than budget, my other reason for not owning her already is that I am way too wary to order from Elfdoll given the amount of negative feedback they get. Way too much for me to ignore. Shame because they have some lovely sculpts. Who knows, if the price is right and the timing is right, I may one day grab a Soah off the MP.
Third and last but not least is Iplehouse EID Asa. This girl was a love at first sight. Unfortunately having already been exposed to the JID girl bodies and the EID boy body, I already know that this girl would be too much for me to handle in terms of size and bulk. I was even a bit wary handling a F65 girl so an EID girl would definitely be out of my comfort zone. But she is lovely and at least I still get to see photos of her.
However, if I was told I could only own one doll, I would have to say, I would choose the Iplehouse EID Asa. If she was the only one here, I think I would be able to handle that.
I feel the same way about those Iplehouse gals... I love them, but man they're just so big (and heavy!)
ReplyDeleteBut wow... what beauties...and as someone obsessed with wanting to get into taking photos that make my dolls look alive (hmm, I'll bet that sounds so strange... I don't want them to be alive... but I'm attracted to that trick of the camera)... I love them. Great choice of "If only" dolls!
Even the JID girls are big and bulky compared to most slim minis.
DeleteI know what you mean about the photos. I am a bit fascinated with that too. I've seen some stunning photography on flickr and deviantART that made me look twice and think, "Wait, that's a doll right?" and it usually is but believe me, I have also seen photos of people that kind of looked like dolls!!
They are a lovely group! I can see why they made your list... :)
ReplyDeleteAlthough I very much doubt these girls will ever make it here, it is still nice to see photos of them around cyberspace.
