The Five Amigos

First order of business, apparently, I just realised this month marks the one year anniversary of this blog. For those who know me, this is a big thing. This means this is the first ever blog I've ever had to actually reach the one year mark. That's an achievement for me given how notoriously bad I am at keeping blogs around for longer than a few months. With this one, I was determined to break that vicious cycle. So at least one of my New Year resolutions came true.

Today, for the first time in a very long time it seems, I spent most of the day "playing" with my dolls and it felt good. I got a fair amount of sorting done (culled a bunch of clothing, shoes and wigs) and decided on the doll cull which only ended up being two dolls by the end of it all. My two Resinsouls, Mei and Song will be marked for adoption as soon as I give them a clean and weigh them for shipping prices. There really wasn't anyone else I felt I needed to cull so at least I'm only looking to move two dolls instead of the initial planned eight dolls. I also managed to list down all the items everyone needed to complete their look.

Which brings me to the five amigos who are essentially, finished. There are some odds and ends I need for three of them but it's nothing big.

This time last year, I had eight SD dolls. Today, I have five, a number I am much more comfortable with. So without further ado, let me introduce the Five Amigos ....

Xavier is a music teacher at Haven Heights. He also plays the piano. He is Deirdre's fiance. Unlike his fiancee, Xavier grew up in a privileged household. He had the finest education money could buy but he chose to become a music teacher despite his parent's hopes that he would be a pianist. His engagement to Deirdre has caused tension between Xavier and his parents.

 Devlin is Xavier's adopted older brother. When Xavier's mother was told she would never have children, Devlin was adopted. Two years later, their mother was pregnant with Xavier. The two boys were close and still are.

 

Deirdre works as a journalist for the Hollow Times. She met Xavier when she interviewed him for a piece on Haven Heights new music department. Her only living relative is her overprotective older brother, Naoise.

Naoise has always felt responsible for his younger sister, Deirdre since their parent's death in a freak plane crash when he was seventeen. He has worked hard to give them both a decent life. He now owns his own chain of music stores thanks to Xavier's investment.

Josef had a twin named Alaric. His twin died recently under mysterious circumstances. Ever since that day, Josef has been trying to uncover the reasons to his brother's death. His relentless refusal to accept the death as an accident has led him to the Hollow Times and Deirdre.
