Warm and Cold

Photo time again. I really pick the worst times to suddenly feel inspired to take photos. It's been gloomy and overcast most of the day here and photos never come out too well in that condition, at least for me.

In the midst of making Christmas cards and Christmas presents for people, I took a quick break to take a quick snap of Myst and Meridian. Unfortunately, I had to bin a lot of shots but these are the ones that worked out. Kind of.

The title of this post refers to the characters.  Guess which is which...

First up is Myst. She is seventeen years old and eventually becomes Vin's girlfriend. She has a lot in common with him, namely that she also shares the strange inheritance that sets them apart from normal people. However, she's been at it longer than Vin and can teach him a thing or two about being a 'Guide'.

Her shoes came in today and they fit perfectly, thank goodness. Her outfit for now. At least one of them. I might add the corset later to this get-up. But those boots are so cyberpunk, I love them. Myst's fashion sense leans towards mix 'n' match but is in some part combatant. She always has this air of being on the verge of going into action. She never wears skirts or dresses preferring the comfort of pants.

This is Meridian. She is sixteen years old and Cedric's girlfriend. She's the long lost sister to Myst. Meridian vanished when she was seven years old. She was declared missing, possibly dead. Meridian mysteriously returned a year ago with no memory of a family or her life before her disappearance. She won't talk about where she's been or how she came back. The only thing she will say is that she was rescued by Gideon but that she hasn't seen him since.

Her outfit is a bit of a collection of things. She doesn't know much about fashion and doesn't seem to have an interest in it so she normally gets around in whatever she finds first. Her shoes came in today but are a bit big for her. It'll do for now. Besides, it's the type of thing her character would do, wear shoes that are too big for her. I've actually gone back to her original look. The pink hair was fun for a while but the innocence of this style appeals to me more.
