So, here is mine. It was certainly a trip down memory lane for me and I have to admit to feeling a twinge of regret on some of those dolls who have moved on. It's mostly in chronological order as I don't often always remember when I got certain dolls. I'm sure I got some of the orders wrong...

So all the greyed out dolls have gone to bigger, brighter futures with their new owners, the blue toned ones (
In my current collection, I have one floating head (DZ Cosmo) that shares the Soom body with my Epidos. My Cosmo is on his way to Ticuk right now for a new face up. The only doll on my wishlist is a Bimong Chuu. And that one depends on whether Bimong re-releases this sculpt at some point in the future (fingers crossed for yes).
So going from this mosaic, since 2009 to present, I've had roughly: twenty-seven full dolls and ten floating heads. My current collection stands at fourteen full dolls and one floating head (not counting the two floating heads and one full doll currently for sale).
It's certainly an eye opener to see exactly how many dolls have passed through here in the past five years and exactly how many have gone.
I think the mosaic is a neat idea of showcasing the change in taste as I got deeper into this wonderful hobby.
It's really neat to see your collection laid out that way! You can definitely see how your tastes changed over time. :)
ReplyDeleteHopefully Bimong will re-release Chuu for you, or one come up on the marketplace for a good price!
I was actually surprised by some of the earlier sculpts to be honest. I had forgotten I had some of those for a short time. I guess I've kind of always struggled with owning and keeping tiny sizes. My PKF Mio is the only one here and only because she is so cute and I adore pukifee clothing so much!
DeleteFingers crossed. I did send Bimong an email asking about it and was told there are plans to re-release early in 2014 but ... you never know. I'll just have to check his new site every day!
This is a great idea!! I love how you did this.
ReplyDeleteIt's something I can't ever do myself (I've owned dolls I never took one photo of) but I would love to see more of these...
I seem to take photos of all my dolls at one time or another. I also seem to cycle through with favourites. One week, there will a heap of photos of a particular sculpt and the next, it'd be someone different.
DeleteI'm so excited to see yours, I'm really glad you did this :)
ReplyDeleteYou know,I didn't realise you'd had Saint for that long... When I reworked mine for the post, I kind of felt some regrets, too.
I think you've got such a great group right now. Seeing them in this collage form really shows how cohesive your collections always are. And how diverse. Those are things I am always so envious of :)
So glad to see this and glad to know where you are on the web now!
I was really surprised there had been so many that came and went here. I honestly wasn't prepared for the sheer number of dolls I've owned/still own/moved on. It was a shock! But it goes to show how tastes change a lot in this hobby.
DeleteI had him for ages, well, the first Saint. I'm going to miss him a bit but I decided I didn't need two Saints after all. Plus I really liked his face up. Ah well. I am going to try and get the second Saint faced up by Xhanthi next year.
I am quite happy with my current group. The only one I am still iffy about is my Withdoll boy. Everyone else I am quite happy with how they are developing, some are even finished now. Or will be once all their bits and pieces get here.
I am actually surprised how long I have had this blog. I had the one year anniversary back in November. I feel like I've finally achieved stability with a blog.
