My dolls tend to get makeovers a lot but I think that's due to the fact that I like to explore a variety of characters until one sticks. Naoise's character has always been the same; even though I might have changed his name once or twice, I reverted to the original name for him in the end. But he has always been the lead singer of a band. He's definitely a bit of a rock star.
First thing is first, his name is pronounced 'nee-shu' or 'knee-sha' with the -a sounding like a 'u', not 'noise'. It's an old Irish name and is infamous for the name of Deirdre's husband from the story, Deirdre of the Sorrows.
Getting a bit handsy with the headless dress mannequin. When in Rome and all that...
He has been by the far the hardest in terms of figuring out a style. But I think I've settled on a cross between grunge and casual.
Have you ever had dolls that have been hard to style or change their style at the drop of a hat?
Oh, he's great like this! LOVE the lip ring! That last picture is wonderful. He looks every bit as remote as his character has been for you to pin down! Actually, I really like all the pics, he's got a great face, doesn't he!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you've finally been able to sort him out, I know this one has been kind of a hard one for you.
And to answer your question at the end there... Yes and yes! Most of the ones that I can't find a style for end up leaving, and for the other, I adore dolls that can change their style and look without changing their character.
Man, that lip ring took forever to stay on. That water based glue I used just didn't want to stick.
DeleteI am glad he is sorted now. He really was a frustrating doll to actually style at the end of the day. You know, I think I am finding myself in that boat, if a doll doesn't have a style, I bid it a fond farewell.
He looks absolutely stunning! I have a thing for guy dolls with a lip piercing, it looks so awesome!
ReplyDeleteWell, my girl Ozzie went from "I only like pants" to "I can wear tunics and girly things too". Luckily I didn't buy too much for her before she changed her mind, so it's quite alright. :)
Thanks. It was a nightmare to do and I still haven't figure out how to do the eyebrow ring I wanted there. I decided on studs but now I can't find any that isn't a stud bead thing with a hole in the center (which I don't want.)
DeleteI've had dolls that did that too. One of my girls was supposed to be a tomboy and ended up being one of the more girly dolls here.
