Another BJD Meme and Random Stuff

I revamped Kianna (formerly Myst) again as I wasn't a hundred percent happy with the other style she had. She's the ringleader in my little band of misfits. I'll take a photo of that group when I can string Vin back again. I had to take him apart today to glue one troublesome piece to his torso as it kept coming away and making him do weird back bends.

Last night was the first time I glued in eyelashes. Kianna's original fell out so I had to replace them. Such a fiddly job.

And Ghost finally received his outfit. I put Cedric's wig on him and rather like it. I just need to trim it a bit at the front.

1. How long have you been in the BJD hobby?
I've been in the hobby since 2010. That was the year I ordered my very first BJD, a Dollfamily Lyre (who I have since sold).

2. How many dolls do you have at home?
I have thirteen full dolls now after a massive cull and two floating heads.

3. What are their names and sculpts?

4. Which doll have you had the longest? How long has it been?
More of a floating head but my Dollzone Cosmo has been here since 2010 and is the only sculpt remaining from my first batch of dolls. At the time, I had an Angel of Dream boy body that had no head so I originally purchased this head for that body.

5. Which doll is your favorite?
I actually can't say to be honest. I go through moods so my favourites tend to change quite frequently. At the moment though, I would have to say it's my Luts Maska, Ghost.

6. Are you waiting on any dolls now? If yes, which one(s)?
Yes, just the one; AquariusDoll Jesse. She's a tiny size so not too hard to find a spot for.

7. What is your grail doll?
My ultimate grail was Dollshe Saint which I now have. I'm pretty happy about that.

8. Did you learn something new because of this hobby?
I'm always learning something new because of this hobby. Just the other night, I learned how to glue in eyelashes which I had never done before. I also learned how to restring dolls, do minor mods like glue sueding and temporary piercings. I'd love to give face ups a go one day but unless they bring out a non-toxic sealant that doesn't require an airbrush for application, I'll just happily admire the work of other face up artists.

9. Have you made any friends you might otherwise not have because of this hobby?
Yes, definitely. I've met some lovely people and have been grateful that I was able to get to know a lot of them.

10. What are your doll plans for this coming year?
Buy less dolls and concentrate on finishing the ones I have. I do want to set up a room box for my dolls and maybe try my hand at crocheting cardigans for them.
