Pukifee Vs Aquarius Fairy 16

As promised, this is a very quick comparison between what these two bodies can do and what they can't do. My personal opinion is that despite some of the Aquarius Doll AF16 limitations, I still consider this body to be just as good as a Fairyland Pukifee in terms of being able to hold its poses with ease.

Warning: Doll Nudity ahead. Excuse the fact my Pukifee is wearing her wig cap. It's to hold her faceplate on as it seems to be loose for some reason.

NOTE: Pukifee is the light coloured one, AF16 is the tanned one.

First off, we'll start with the full body comparison. As you can see from the image, the AF16 has a much bigger head than the PKF body which makes the body also slightly taller in height. However, both heads wear 5-6 inch wig. In terms of eye size, I believe the AF16 head takes a 10mm. I tried my 8mm in the eye socket and it just wasn't wide enough without showing gaps. My PKF wears 8mm eyes.

In terms of head movement, side to side is pretty much the same and looking down is the same, however, looking up, the PKF head does this much better and further than the AF16 which can kind of look up but not by much.

These two bodies can sit unaided. No need to lean up against anything. I found the Pukifee was a bit more fiddly to "lock" in place when sitting whereas the AF16 was pretty easy.

Both bodies have a double jointed arm system which allows them quite the range of movement including being able to touch their face.

Their knees are also double jointed and have a similar range of movement.

The big difference is in the torso/chest area. PKF have a three part torso, AF16 has a two part. As seen in the photo below, the PKF can do this pose quite naturally where the AF16 actually looks quite awkward.

Despite this, I still think the AF16 body is well constructed and quite sturdy whether sitting or standing.

    1. I was really quite pleased with how the AF16 poses. She is much easier (for me) to handle than my pukifee.

    1. You're welcome! Hopefully it is useful for someone who might be looking at the AF16 dolls. I will get a tan comparison up with the ones I have here a bit later, actually, I might do all the resin colours I have here.

  3. I loved your comparison! Especially the torso movement which I couldn't get my girls to do very well :) Your Mio is just gorgeous too!

    1. It was a lot of fun to do that torso movement pose. I actually didn't know my Mio could do that so well until I tried it on a whim. She does look more natural doing that than my Jessie.

Thank you. Her face up was done by xhanthi. I seem to have a thing for slightly grumpy faces ...

  4. Body comparison posts are so fun! It's neat to see how two similarly sized dolls pose in relation to each other. I had forgotten that Pukifees have the three part torso. It's nice that the AF16 body has a two part torso at least and you can get a little extra movement. That's one thing I wish Lati Yellows had—a torso joint so they could pose a little better.

    1. I really do enjoy the fact the Pukifee can do some complex poses that the AF16 wouldn't even come close to doing but on the other hand, the AF16 for me is much sturdier and easier to pose and my Pukifee is a bit more fiddly. Plus that head keeps wanting to constantly toss backwards which drives me a little batty.

I've always been curious about the Lati Yellow dolls. They have some rather cute sculpts however I hear some bad things about the service from them so I've never seriously looked at their dolls as possible purchase dolls for my crew.
