Having had the time to think about her and search for owner photos of her, I think I would have wanted the vampire head. I don't have a vampire in my collection yet and that would have been pretty neat. To this day, I regret not following my instinct to order her. Unlike the JID line, I actually really love the sculpting of the hands for the KID line, plus the company has been releasing some pretty awesome outfits for this line lately.
For this girl, I would have disregarded my previous wariness on IP body posing. Maybe IP will release her as a basic but I doubt it.
On another note, I really wish Fairyland sold heads separately. I've recently been wanting a Minifee Vampire Woosoo after seeing some rather fabulous owner photos of this sculpt.

There are two on the MP at the moment however one has had its elf ears sanded down which is a shame as I want that feature and the other, the seller is not selling internationally.
At least I am slowing beginning to feel like I can finally return to my dolls after my unofficial "hiatus". And with more time on my hands in a few months, maybe I can actually do something other than photograph the dolls in my house all the time.
Lisa is beautiful! Both sculpts are lovely and her outfit is amazing. Iplehouse always pays so much attention to detail. I'm sorry you missed out on her.
ReplyDeleteI had an Minifee Vampire Woosoo for awhile. I loved her sculpt, but I ended up selling her because I didn't like the white skin. My sister has a normal skin MF Vampire Woosoo though. She's so lovely. I want to steal her. haha ;)
I really adore the outfits produced by Iplehouse, they are detailed and I love that they dabble in different genres and themes for them.
DeleteThat particular sculpt stole my heart but as always, I procrastinated too long about it. This is my curse.
I am wary of white skin too. When I first started this hobby, I was really into white skin dolls but seeing how quickly they yellow and sometimes the yellowing is very mustard-like, I don't tend to collect that resin colour anymore. I only have two white skin dolls at the moment, one has yellowed very little in the year and a bit I've had him but the other has the fast yellowing syndrome.
I would definitely be wanting a normal skin vampire woosoo head to go on one of the minifee bodies I already have.

Yeah I think the Kid line has much, much better hands. I'm going to have a JID hand grudge with Iplehouse forever LOL
ReplyDeleteThat was one of the reasons I couldn't get along with the JID line. The other reasons you already know but I think your blushing of Asa's hands make them look so much better. I am still hoping Iplehouse resculpts those JID hands one day.
DeleteYou can still order the Lisa with Vampire head directly from Iplehouse. However, she is higher than when offered for the limited time, in that she is in the Doll Choice ordering area. Doll Choice is usually offered from the 1st to the 15th of every month. However, Iplehouse did not open it for November in anticipation of a December/Holiday special. Last year Iplehouse was swamped with orders because they offered the Doll Choice dolls, at basic prices. Many are hoping they plan to do the same again this year. Just in case you need a little enabling ;-)

I had to log in to see it and I can see her on there now. I had wondered why there was a sold out next to that line choice. Fingers crossed that Iplehouse do the same thing for the holiday sale this year. I hope I can get the vampire hands as well!

I've never owned any of the smaller IP dolls, but they have to be better than the bigger ones. Even if they don't do pretzel poses it's easier to deal with smaller dolls than the giant chunks of resin that are every other doll they have. So she'll probably be perfect!
And I've always loved Woosoo, big or small! I would hand over a lot of money to FL if they sold heads separately. A lot. Like all of it. I just love all their heads but only some of the bodies. Or I love the body and none of the heads! I never want full dolls from them....
She would definitely be perfect for what I have in mind. I asked IP if they intended to release her as a basic doll at some stage. They said yes they planned to next year but they weren't sure when. It would mean the grey skin would not be available but after calculating the Doll Choice option and converting to AUD (our dollar is horrendous right now), it worked out to be a lot more than I might be willing to pay but if they released her as a basic, it might be more doable.

It is a shame FL don't sell heads separately. Maybe the neck mechanism they have make it harder to cast just heads? I don't really know why. Because you're right, with some companies, I've really liked the head sculpt but haven't been fussed on the body sculpt or vice versa and it would be nice to be able to purchase one or the other.
We can only hope!
