My OE Shushu got a makeover today. I had ordered a new wig from Luts for her and the minute I dressed her in it, she needed a complete wardrobe change. And the name 'Maiya' kept popping up in my head when I looked at her in the whole get-up. So she got a name change as well. She has somewhat taken on the persona of '
The Girl in White' which used to belong to MyDolling Heeah, who in turn has been re-shelled. The character of 'Maiya' is from a supernatural story I am currently working on.

It is said that if you walk along the old road into town that passes by the twin hills at dusk and dawn, you will see The Girl in White. She wanders along its ridge, her gaze fixed on the distant horizon where the sea meets the land ...
"Come to me, hear my voice that travels with the wind. I have waited for so long.
Let me rest my weary head in a slumber of eternity."
Nice! I like her makeover! It makes me want to know more about the story.
ReplyDeleteThanks! For some reason, I am really into paranormal stories right now. This was supposed to be my nano novel, you know the one I got stuck on? I am still going to push ahead with it but I can't really class it as a nano novel anymore because I won't finish it before November ends (which on my side of the world is today!)
DeleteI am right there with you in the love of paranormal stories. I honestly have trouble being interested in things that don't deal in it just a tad.
DeleteI was talking to my roommate the other day and was saying the same thing. I didn't get anywhere near finished with Nano, but I would like to keep working on it, only in a different format...in short stories or "chapters" from the POV of my three main characters (so I don't have to "be" Alex all the time D: ). Good luck with yours! I'd love to read some! :D
I love the paranormal stuff and the urban-fantasy. I read a lot of mixed genre stuff, apocalyptic as well. I am interested in visions of the future. The only thing I have a hard time reading is contemporary stuff. My Dad is always telling me my head is off with the fairies.
DeleteWell, there is always next year for Nano right? And I think a "chapters" sort of story would be neat actually. I used to primarily just write short stories set in the same universe. I kind of miss that.
Thanks! I should post it up somewhere but to be honest, I've always been a bit shy when it comes to my creative writing. Posting small excerpts and bits and pieces I seem to be fine with but actually posting anything longer ... it's probably because I am my worst critic when it comes to my writing.
