I decided the AOD bodies will stay for now (it seems a lot of bother and I wouldn't get much for them anyway). At least they both got a good wash today. And it was a good opportunity to try out some different styles for them. In saying that and given my lack of interesting backdrops, I decided to do something quick and easy.
I had an old Real Living magazine I was keeping for room box inspirations and pulled out a few of the magazine pages, put them up haphazardly on the wall and kazam, brand spanking new backdrop to use. (Also gave me an idea for a backdrop for the SD dolls).
Tobias looks pretty good here. I think he looks like either a fashion designer or an interior designer.
Deirdre also got in on the action wearing one of Xavier's shirts. And yes, AOD girl bodies really need to go a bit softer on certain chest areas. Maybe I should buy her a bra.
Overall, I think it makes a really quick and easy backdrop. You could use any old magazine you had gathering dust really. If anyone gives it a go, drop me a link so I can have a peek.
That's a great idea and it looks fabulous :D
ReplyDeleteI love how both Deirdre and Tobias look in it. Tobias looks more like a model while Deirdre seems to be an artist *u*
I am always looking for things to use as backdrops especially for the big dolls as they are much harder to find things like that for.
DeleteAh, now I see it too. He does look like he's on a modelling shoot and she looks like she's just stopped for a break from painting a canvas or something.
What a great idea for backdrop, it looks awesome! I agree that Tobias looks like a some sort of designer there XD
ReplyDeleteWhat I love about it is how quick and easy it is and quite accessible. You could even do it with newspapers too. I'm going to try painting a canvas and using that as a backdrop as well. I haven't cracked out my acrylic paints in a while. Should be fun.
DeleteWhat a great idea. I have some old magazines, so I could make backdrops with them. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteNo problems. Let me know if you try this! I'm always looking for more affordable ways of having interesting backgrounds without breaking the bank!
