Cat Lady

I've been nursing the hubby back to health this past week after he contracted an illness. He is on the mend now which gave me some time to spend with the new Pureneemo girl. I decided to call her Kora, mostly because it was similar to Koron and was the first name that popped into my head when I looked at her. This is pretty much how I end up naming most of my dolls.

She got some new clothes in earlier in the week. This girl looks good in pretty much anything. I decided she needed a cat hat to go with her outfit and made her the little hat.

I'm really happy I decided to get this girl. I think I would have been disappointed if I had not been able to bring her home. She's just the cutest little thing and she's the first one I grab from the cabinet most days.

I was at one of the local fabric stores today and noticed they had some homeware type stuff for sale so I picked up this neat little wall hanging that works well for some of the smaller size dolls.

I think it works great as a photo backdrop substitute.

And because I never show my MH dolls much on this blog ...

Giselle is sporting a new headband that came with the Freaky Fusion Ghoulia. I recently found out one of my favourite face-up artists can paint MH dolls so I'm thinking of sending the Freaky Fusion Ghoulia and Frights, Camera, Action Operetta to her for a repaint at some stage. I'm just debating on whether I want to cut off Operetta's hair (it's actually uneven and just not easy to style) and go with a wig for her like I've done here with Giselle. If I decide on that route, I would have to get rid of the hair before I can send her for a face up.

In other project news, I'm working on scaling down a human size patchwork scarf to doll size. It will be sported by Arianna (my FL Halloween Head) when she comes back from the face up spa. I'm also trying to figure out how to make clothing for MH dolls. I have a few ideas in mind but the execution will be the hard part.

Your Koron looks really cute in that outfit and the wall hanging seems like a great find :3 Love to see photos of your MH dolls too! I used to have one, but didn't really feel that MHs are for me, so now I just enjoy photos by other people ^^

    1. Thank you, he is on the mend (thankfully).

This girl is actually my first MH doll. I got her as a custom doll. I only have four MH dolls all up and am not planning to get anymore. I have two Ghoulias and two Operettas. One of each already have custom faces and the other two will too by the end of the year hopefully.

Koron just never ceases to amaze me with her cuteness.

You did a great job with the hat, it looks like it belongs in the set :D
Your MH is also really pretty, there was a time I was obsessed with them, but never bought one. They are really cool though!

    1. He is feeling much better today. He's gaming so he must be feeling okay.

Thank you. When I dressed her in that cute dress it seemed like she was missing something so I whipped up the hat for her and I am pleased at how it turned out. I'm wanting to make a rabbit or teddybear for her but am debating between designing my own or using a pattern.

MH dolls do take a bit of getting used to as they are so different from other dolls I have here. Their bodies are super super thin so trying to sew for them can get a bit frustrating for me but they have their own appeal I think.

  3. Hi Alasse,
Hope hubby is feeling better now.
I agree with Alajandra, you did a great job of the hat, it really does look like it's part of the set and it looks so darn cute on her.
Never really been into MH dolls, though I don't mind seeing them or reading about them on other people's blogs and you girl is really quite lovely. I quite like the grey skin with the blue.
    Hugs,
    X

    1. Hey Xanadu, you know men when they get sick, it's always the end of the world. But he's doing much better today thanks.

I'm really glad her hat looks like part of the set. I had a lot of fun making it and it was pretty quick to do so I might look at more hats to make for the other girls.

Strangely enough, I've always wanted a grey skin doll and I've had a few grey skinned bjds come through here but they never seemed to stay around for long so when I got Ghoulia, she answered my grey skin want. I love custom MH dolls and have seen some really amazing things done with these dolls. I am gobsmacked at some of the elaborate outfits people have made for them. Their bodies are super thin that it amazes me to see people sew for this body type. I made some simple tights the other day for one of the MH girls and that was quite fiddly. I'd love to get one of the boys but they are really hard to get and go for a bit more than I want to pay on ebay.

Kora is so lovely with the cat-themed outfit and the hat adds a nice touch x3
MH are so lovely - I see so little of them these days, but I really love the variety of custom face-ups on them~!

Koron has such a cute little face. It's no wonder I fell in love with it! I love all the different MH customs I have seen. Some are truly amazing.
