These dolls are so easy to pick up and take photos of. I often find it a chore to take photos of my bjds lately because they take a lot of fiddling to pose and I'm always afraid they'll face plant and ruin their face up or chip their nose or something. It's nice to not have to worry about that with these MH dolls.
Today's ghoul is Geek Shriek Ghoulia Yelps who also happens to be my favourite of the characters despite the fact that she's supposed to be a zombie. This will make her the third Ghoulia to enter my MH collection.
I honestly wasn't sure about her as her promo shots had her with a lot of blue glitter on her eyes and yet some reviews of her I saw she didn't have any blue glitter. I did see her at one of the Big W stores here and she had the blue glitter but I picked this one up from Target and there was no blue glitter which works for me.
This close up of her without her glasses on clearly shows no glitter on her eyeshadow. I lucked out again!
She is in the slim line box and does not come with a stand. I love her box art and I do adore the fact that they have that white looking tape on her glasses.
The backdrop art is perfect to take photos against. I've been actually pulling these out and keeping them to use as photo backgrounds for these girls.
She is dressed in a gorgeous shirt covered with skulls and finished with a red bowtie. Her skirt has glasses and eyeballs on them which is pretty neat although the skirt is hard to remove despite being elastic. It doesn't seem to fit over her hip part so I have no idea how it was put on.
The awesome detailing on her shoes. I kind of wish the laces were painted in a different colour though.
I also picked up another Mega Bloks, this time Draculaura's crypt.
I've been watching all the movies and catching up on the webisodes and I've been really enjoying them. There's just something quite adorable about the characters. The show can be corny at times but I'm in the mood for corny right now.
The next post will be about the HS order which consists of my second ever Nendoroid and Kirino Cu-Poche gets a makeover.
Just to finish up, the Monster High Fright Song. Pretty catchy tune.
Now don't laugh Alasse, but I'm thinking of getting my new glasses with frames like that! From what I have been reading they are supposed to suit a round face. Okay you can laugh now.
ReplyDeleteHey, instead of giving her a faceup like others usually do, why don't you give her shoes a makeover and paint the shoe laces yourself? You could give them a real personal touch then they would be OOAK. :)
Hugs,
X
No laughing here at all Xanadu. I think those frames are super awesome. I actually had ones that size but they were round when I was in high school. Are you going with black for the colour? My current glasses are rectangle-esque in shape and they are a dark purple.
DeleteOh I didn't think of that. Thank you for the suggestion. I might attempt that assuming hand fingers don't shake too much. Delicate things like laces can be tricky with keeping my hands steady.
Awesome geeky designs by MH! I'm a huge fan of their box illustrations, they're just so vibrant and awesome!
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely customize those shoes~ the details are so great, they'd look better with different colors!
Me too. I just really really love the artwork they do for their characters a lot. I love drawing portraits so their art just appeals to me a heap.
DeleteI'm going to try to customize the shoes - fingers crossed I don't shake the paint all over the place though!!
