To celebrate, I have a wishlist finally! This has me pretty happy. I haven't been able to have one for the longest time (okay so it's really only been about a year and a half roughly) but it felt like forever! By wishlist, I mean the one that I can actually bring home someday in the future (I'm thinking within the next three years at least!)
But first, some of you may remember, last year I was a member of the W Club for Integrity Toys. Their last club exclusive doll to be unveiled in December of last year was the stunning J'Adore La Fete Elise Jolie which I reserved.

Her release date is set to Late Spring/Early Summer of this year which I believe is quite soon? Or at least within the next few months. I'm quite excited about this stunning girl as she'll be my first gift set doll (she comes with an additional outfit, a lingerie set and a carry case). I've wanted an Elise Jolie since I saw the Midnight Star version but she's one of the more popular faces for the doll line thus her second hand market prices were through the roof.
On the topic of my current wishlist to own within the next few years ...

1. Daydream Doll Coco : I've been eyeballing this lovely girl since Daydream Doll opened and started offering their dolls for sale. I've always been quite taken with her serious features. I'm glad I waited though as they released an upgraded body for these dolls which I like the aesthetics of a lot better than the original body. She is currently listed as sold out on the Choice Set but I've contacted the company and they've advised that she'll be available again most likely towards the end of the week and I don't believe she's a limited or anything.
2. Azone International Mermaid Princess Minami: Pink hair coupled with purple eyes, what's not to like? I suspect when this girl opens for preorder she will go quickly so I'm not sure if this will be a possibility. I will try my best to snag her when she becomes available. Lucky for me, that day happens to fall on my non-work day so I can keep an eye out early for her order to open.
3. Bluefairy Tiny Fairy Robin: Ah Robin, this sculpt has been on my wishlist for a long time. I've always rather liked the gentle features on this one and I think it makes a great male or female doll. I would be getting this sculpt as a female. I also noticed this morning on their website that they are apparently discontinuing the COAs for these dolls. Kind of strange as most companies are introducing COAs that hadn't been sending them with their dolls previously.
I still haven't made up my mind if I want another Yo-SD doll or not to go with Rune. I rather like just having Rune in that size. So ... still procrastinating on that one.
And to conclude, I actually placed a preorder last night and I think I may have taken the last slot as the reservation closed after my order was confirmed.

She's the Sahras a la mode Twinkle a la mode Rose Quartz Sahra. There was also a Direct Store version with pink hair and a white outfit which was pretty cute. Shame it's difficult to get the Direct Store version unless you can navigate your way through the Japanese language barrier on the Azone website. I think that version is sold out already anyway. I'm not sure if I'll keep the outfit to be honest. I'm not overly fussed on it. I do however love her hair/eye colour combination and as soon as I saw her, she reminded me of my big Obitsu girl (who is still wig-less).
For those who don't know yet, if you're ordering from Japan, apparently their EMS prices have increased from today (1st June). Not sure how much more they increased though but I've come to expect this from postal services around the world. It's becoming a lucrative business these days with the amount of online ordering that goes on.
Well that's it for today. I start my new job next Monday so updates will probably slow down after next week on the blog however I will always make time for dolls so I'll continue to update when time allows.

First of all I must say I literally screamed when I saw the photo of the new girl your preordered. I've never been so tempted by an azone doll in my life!! Thank God there's no more slots available because I promised myself not to buy dolls in june and I know if I get her more would be coming down the road XD I must resist! I love everything, including the outfit, which is weird because I normally don't like that kind of style hahaha ;_; I'll go cry in a corner XD

I also read the news about Bluefairy's CoA and I am not happy. Of course they decided to do this after I place my order, but regardless of their bad timing, it makes no sense not to include CoAs. Someone over the discord chat suggested to print all the transaction papers and put them in an envelope inside the doll's box, as a form of a CoA. I guess I'll do that.
And talking about things that they did after I buy a doll, they added nice hands for their shiny fairies .......... but they don't combine orders so I would need to pay for ems again (which wouldn't be that much of a deal if the dress I wanted was in stock or if the hands were available in normal skin because for some reason the only option is baked skin .-.) XD so unlucky this time! but I'll survive.
That pink hair and purple eyes combination is stunning so I hope you get that release too, since it would be nice to see photos of her in the future.
And spam photos of your Rose Quartz Sahra when you get her :D
So I probably shouldn't tell you that Hobbysearch might open again for another set of preorders... I've noticed they've been opening up at least 1-2 times more after reservations close so they might open again. You never know.
DeleteI'll definitely be posting photos of her when she arrives. She's expected to be released at the end of the month so if all goes according to plan, she may be here early July.
I was really confused as to why Bluefairy decided to stop sending COAs with their dolls. There isn't much in the way of explanation on their board about it only that they're discontinuing it. The only thing I can think of is it costs them more money on top of producing the dolls ... It just seems really really strange and is going to be a bit of trouble for people who might decide to sell their dolls later down the track. I've noticed buyers in the second hand marketplace want COAs these days to come with their dolls so I hope proof of purchase will be enough. I would have issues with my Fairyland dolls if I ever decided to sell them as all mine were purchased before they decided to send them out with COAs which they do now.
Ack, sounds like bad timing although it's unusual they don't have those hands in normal skin as well unless they're doing a limited run of them to go with their baked skin event?
I've been wanting a pink haired Azone girl for ages now but they don't seem to come out with them a lot so I'm really surprised that there is two (Store Version Rose Quartz) and this upcoming Mermaid Princess girl.
Wahh, the minami girl is sooo pretty xD I totally love her color scheme! Hope you can get her for sure~

DeleteI don't foresee not being able to update to be honest, just probably not as much as I have been while I've been off work. That and the projects I'm working on will go even slower now with less days to do them!

ReplyDeleteThat's really strange about Bluefairy and the CoAs - as you say, more and more companies are doing it these days, and surely the cost of printing some up can't be a make-or-break financial decision, can it? Very odd!
I have my fingers crossed she will look like the prototype as I've been reading a lot of dolls from last year had slight differences to the prototype ones in the promo.
DeleteI wish Bluefairy would explain why they decided to make this decision. It just seems really strange. Personally, I like COAs with my dolls. I keep them all in a COA file so they're easy to find when I need them. I keep proof of purchase too, you tend to need those for insurance purposes if you sell and the item gets lost in the mail.

I'm pretty excited for Rose Quartz. I have one Sahra but she is blonde and blue eyed and looks (to me) so very different from this version even in the features.
