What a day! We had tremors from an earthquake close to our town today in the afternoon. This is very rare where I live so it took us all by surprise. I was at work and my work building literally felt like it was swaying (I work on the second floor of the building)! It was pretty scary. I think they said it measured 5.8. I've never felt a building move/shake like that before!
On another note, I have friends from Canada visiting over the next two weeks so I won't be online very much during this period and I'm also going out of town for a few days next week, so I will leave you with a little photoshoot I did tonight with Circe.
This book seems to have caused some deep contemplation from Circe.
Just because I wanted to do a wider shot of the set. The table arrived today and was a free gift from the seller of the chair. There was a delay with my order and the seller felt bad about this and decided to send me a free gift of the table to go with the chair. I thought this was incredibly generous of her and was very surprised by it. The great customer service impressed me a lot and I'm looking forward to what else the seller releases in the future for this scale.
That's all for this post. Hope everyone enjoys their upcoming weekend wherever you are and stay safe!
That room is fabulous - all those tiny books! Love it!
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your visitors this week!
Thanks! Tiny rooms are so much fun to make.
DeleteOhh hope the tremors calm down soon down there!!With big earthquakes they can last quite a while, months even! but the worst ones are at the beginning. Hope it doesn't affect your daily life much and everyone is safe.
ReplyDeleteOh Circe my precious favorite piece of non resin plastic haha, she's just so fabulous, wish I looked that good while reading too XD I'd love to have that hair color! Love the entire set up, the chair and the table and the bookshelves with actual tiny books, how wonderful! Pink suits her so much, I feel that she's just perfect, she has everything I love. If I was a doll I would want to be her XD
Everyone is safe, even my brother who was pretty much in the town that was right on top of it. He reckons he didn't feel anything but he was in the roof at the time it happened.
DeleteShe is the type of doll you would want to be be isn't she? Her purple hair is just so lovely. I adore this shade of purple. I can't help but feel she is looking like she is wearing a teddy in these shots!
Whoa! I've always wanted to know what it's like to experience an earthquake (I might have that chance soon, in Taiwan!)
ReplyDeleteI love all the details in the set-up, the tiny books are cute ~
enjoy the next few weeks, seems like you will have a ton of fun!
It's pretty scary is all I can say. I swear I had vertigo for the rest of the day!
DeleteI hope so. I'm still pretty exhausted from work - it's been an intense two months!
Hi Alasse,
ReplyDeleteEarth tremors are not so bad (classified as moderate) at that scale, it's only when they get to 7 that you need to worry. So you're quite safe. :)
Have fun with your visitors!
The photo shoot is lovely, the room looks gorgeous, as I said before very chic and stylish. I really like all the finishing touches you've added since the last photos of this room.
Hugs,
X
Hey Xanadu! Sorry for the late reply. Have had the visitors here.
DeleteThanks so much for the kind words on the room. I really enjoy decorating these dioramas a lot. I need to make more things though!
