A Little Bit of Country

It always seems like there is never enough hours in the day when you are working on projects... and then you run out of glue at the most inconvenient times (after the shops close for the day!).

Today's new diorama (for Momoko, Barbie and Poppy Parker) has a bit of a country feel. This seems to be a little normal for me as I really love the country style for interiors.

This one is another corner room with white wood floors, blue vintage style wallpaper with panel style trimmings. The table is my first attempt. I will have to remake this with four legs instead of three and perhaps a little lower.

Poppy Parker (aka Sina Myles) is modelling the newest fashion that I recently purchased off Ebay made by Integrity Toys. This outfit was in pristine condition, never opened or used. I love it on Sina.

When she takes off her jacket and hat, this is the outfit underneath. There are a total of seven pieces to this outfit, jacket, hat, tank top, belt, red jeans, white boots and bronze earrings.

The bed and bed spread, pillows and mattress I made looks a lot better in this room I think. The colour seems to match better. I hand sewed all the pieces. It was quite therapeutic.

I'm currently working on my second bed and bed spread set. This one will be smaller and more of a single bed designed for Momoko.

  1. Wow, your new work looks really good. The bedspread looks especially amazing, I just love the double sided blanket and the little pillows x3
    I also adore country style, in fact, I should probably get to decorating more sims houses and share some pics? xD;

    1. Thank you for the kind words. I knew the moment I saw that fabric you sent me exactly what I wanted to do with it. It makes such a perfect bedspread. And it's reversible.

Oh yes please. I would love to see some pics of your sim houses. I haven't even opened up that game in ages. I've been picking up extra days at work lately so I've not had as much time as I would like at the moment.

  2. Can I say you have GREAT taste in decorations, I'm always in love with your walls and color schemes, they look very professional!!! And Poppy looks great in that outfit! Her hair goes very well with the style. Your bedding is incredible too, goes so well with the room

    1. Awww thank you my dear! I love decorating. It's one of the biggest reasons I enjoy playing the Sims, for the house building and decorating. And now I get to bring that to life in physical form.

I think Poppy would look great in anything. She's so versatile but I agree, the outfit goes so well with her boyish hair style. I've been keeping an eye on an older Poppy someone has up on e-bay for auction at the moment but it looks like it's nearing the maximum amount I would pay for it. I daresay it will go over so I'll have to pass on her sadly.

  4. Hi Alasse,
The rooms and accessories look really lovely, you doing a wonderful job. Love the bedding.

I was thinking about that high three legged table and it looks just about the right height for a bar table, you just need to make a high stool to go with it, then add a couple of beer or wine glasses. :)
    Hugs,

    1. Thanks Xanadu. It's nice to actually be able to do things even if it's not quite as often as I would like.

You know, I thought the same thing, that it would be great for a bar table. I've actually really wanted to try and re-create the inside of The Bourbon set from Rock of Ages that I saw the stage production of. It was so neat and it would work great as one of the places my Momoko girls worked at.
