This lovely girl arrived today from one of my favourite custom Monster High Artist, Colour To The Bone. She is a sort of collaboration doll. I did the re-root but the artist did the rest. She is named by the Artist.
She came with this adorable little COA that tells a little about how she was created. Such a nice personal touch.
I'm not sure who she is yet. Some sort of magical being.
The Artist inspires me a lot with her work and has encouraged me to pursue my desire to create my own custom Monster High dolls. I want to try and do this and already have a project in mind.
Wow, what a lovely custom doll! She looks like a spirit of blooming sakura tree. :) You gave her a nice hairdo. And I like her eyelashes. I'm waiting for your own ooak projects!
ReplyDeleteAh now that you mention that, I can totally see the blooming Sakura tree likeness. I merely re-rooted the hair, the artist styled it that way. It's amazing how eyelashes really bring these dolls alive.
DeleteI just have to get started on it! I've been a bit shy and intimidated when it comes to doing my own projects but one step at a time!
She's lovely! The details of the make-up and the eyes are beautifully painted. I like your re-root as well! And Flora Blossom is the perfect name for her :-).
ReplyDeleteMonster High dolls have great head molds for repainting, I look forward to reading more about your own project :-).
Colour to the Bone did such an amazing repaint work. The eyes and tattoo are my favourite parts!
DeleteI will definitely do progress posts as I do the doll. I'm keen to start but of course, I'm working a lot at the moment and don't seem to have much spare time. It's always the way!
Oh she was worth getting Alasse, I think she is stunning!! Love the pink hair you have given her and it was good to see you given credit for it on the CoA. :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,

She is a really beautiful doll. She amazes me every time I see her. I just wish my face up skills were at that level too but I still need more practice. Why isn't there an easier non-toxic alternative to MSC in a spray can rather than having to use an airbrush.
DeleteLove it! Such a beautiful doll and hold on to that inspiration! Amazing with the COA, too! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteTrying to hold onto inspiration I find is sometimes like trying to hold on to a slippery fish. But hopefully some free time soon means actually being able to do stuff I enjoy.
DeleteAmazing. I'm not a Monster High person, but I love how this one looks. She's so gentle and beutiful.
ReplyDeleteShe's quite lovely. I've always wanted a doll painted by this artist.
