It's All About Red

Front and center today is Mallory Martin from Integrity Toys Fashion Teen Model line in 16 inch. Of course 16 inch Poppy makes a brief appearance too.

I took out Mallory's default hair and decided to try and give her a boil perm.

It mostly worked out although some of the curls have dropped overnight despite giving her hair a spritz with the Azone hair mist. I really like her with loose curls though.

I also made her a matching earring and necklace set. Here, she is modelling it off. Green looks quite nice on her. She's going to be my Boho Chic girl. I just need to figure out how to make the clothes as apparently there aren't a lot of people who sew for the IT 16inch girls out there. It also happens to be one of my favourite fashion styles.

What's a shoot without a selfie...

Lovely Ms Poppy Parker dropped in for a quick photo. I found these neat gold leaves at a local store and decided to turn it into a necklace for her. I really think she's going to be my gold jewellery girl. I can't wait to make more stuff for her. I really love her whole look. And that pout.

And I'm thinking she's a Jazz singer at a local piano bar. She is trying to make her way into the world of theater.

  1. You did a great job on her hair, love the end result!!! I also adora that gold leaves necklace, the first thing I thought when i saw that photo was "oh wow these dolls accessory game is on point!".
You are making wonderful jewelry for these dolls, I wouldn't be surprised if you would make money by selling them off to other 16inch dolls collectors out there

    1. I don't think I am anywhere confident enough to sell anything I make. And the leaves came like that. I just added a clasp to it. Again I lucked out with finding that at the fabric store.

    1. Thanks, it was fun to curl Mallory's hair. First time at a 'real' attempt at curling hair so I'm glad it worked out.

  3. I love the jewelry! It's very elegant. And I've never seen such small Cloisonne beads. Boho girl and jazz singer - that's really interesting. Mallory would look great in a suede fringe jacket and arabesque print dress, with some feathers in her hair. :) And I can see Poppy in a long crimson dress and sparkling necklace. I'm very curious about your 16 inch doll project! :)

  5. Aww, they are both so beautiful! Mallory is wonderful redhead, so green jewelery looks perfect on her. Also, you did fantastic job with her hair (I love the "work in progress" photo :)). And Poppy is simply perfect. I would love to see her on stage, during the performance...

    1. Thank you. Sadly her curls had dropped out since despite the styling mist I put in her hair. I will probably have to redo them at some stage.

I love the jewellery - both gold and green. Where did you find such small green beads?
