Walkin' on Sunshine

Theme Song: Walking On Sunshine ~ Katrina and The Waves

The yellow knitted dress made by Xanadu arrived today.  It's such beautiful and delicate work. I decided to try it on a few different models. The colour reminds me of Sunshine hence the title. I also ended up turning this into a bit of a Christmas photoshoot as well.

The first to try this dress is one of the Fashionista girls, Sophia. I love the colour on her plus she looks great in it. She is on the Made to Move body. This is a great fit.

Next up to try the Sunshine dress is Misaki. Her body is the same as the old Poppy Parker body. I think the fit is good on her too.

Poppy on the new body and again, I think it's a nice fit on her too. The only difference I can see physically between her old and new upgraded body is that she seems to have a slightly bigger bust.

Nadia is a Dynamite Girl and I adore the dress on her. I think out of all the dolls so far, I love it on her the best. The colour is also amazing on her.

Eloise is a Momokodoll. I think it fits okay but find it slightly big on her.

Jordan I believe is on the older FR2 body so she's wide in the shoulders and big in the bust which means the dress does not do up in the back. But I do think despite this, I like how it sits on her. I also like the fact it is shorter on her because she does have longer legs than the others.

But of course, it is Nadia who ends up with the dress in the end. She brings over a present to add to the Christmas tree.

...and admires the tree baubles.

A photo in front of the tree.

The set up for the Shoot.

And there you have it. Now go and walk on some sunshine!

  1. Your post brought some sunshine into my home. :)
It's really dull and dark here so looking at this yellow dress is a sheer pleasure.
I think Sophia na Misaki look best in this sunny dress. And the girls have a lovely Christmas tree. :) I wonder what gifts they will get from Santa.

    1. Oh I am glad it did! I love the colour yellow. It's such a bright, cheery colour. The girls have been so spoiled this year that I am sure the gifts will be only really small ones!

  2. This is lovely, I really like the dress by Xanadu and like you, I think that it looks wonderful on Nadine, your Dynamite Girl. The colour is perfect for her as is the fit, she's very pretty.
I also really like your Christmas scene, it looks lovely and festive :)
I hope all the girls have a present under the tree for Christmas Day!
    xx

    1. Xanadu knits really lovely dresses and delicate work too. I really wish I could knit like that to be honest but knitting is a very foreign language to me. I'm just happy to just admire from a far.

I really wanted to do more with Christmas this year but time has not been kind to me this year. I can't believe it's only a few days till Christmas and I am still trying to get stuff together for my family. I am not a last minute kind of person so this is really unusual for me.

Love your Christmas set up, I have the same little boxes as xmas presents for mine haha, the pink and red ones, I didn't get the white, but I think I got brown and purple as well.

    1. There is something about those Dynamite Girls that are so enticing. Shame IT have stopped production on them. Not sure if they plan to bring them back later but the only way to get them now is second-hand or if dealers still have some in stock.

Those little boxes make excellent presents for this size doll. I really wanted to get that fireplace I was telling you about but the lady is on holidays until February so her store is currently closed. I could make one myself but I am so running out of time.

  4. Ooh, such a lovely dress! All your girls looks great in it, but Nadia wins, of course :) (though I like it on Sophia too!). And at this time of year we need all the sunshine we can get (here, at least, in the Middle Europe ;)). And you have such nice Christmas decoractions - I wonder what presents are in the boxes for your crew ;)?

    1. And where I am in Australia in the Far North, we have sunshine (and heat) to spare! Want to swap? I would love a bit of cold, a winter Christmas would be such a lovely dream come true for me but I think I would have to travel overseas for that!

I think those boxes have a lot of stuff from the "Emperor's" wardrobe, hehe.

    1. I love that they fit so many of the 1/6 scale dolls I have here. And they look great in them too even Jordan even though it doesn't do up at the back, it still looks quite slinky on her.

  7. That yellow dress is very beautiful and it fits all these dolls so well. Jordan looks great in it, but I can see the tightness around the shoulders, though. But Nadia rocks the dress! Wonderful photos! Enjoy the holidays!
