The Light Bearer, Ailsa of Farnworth

Recently, I commissioned a beautiful outfit for my new MYOU girl, Ailsa from Kamelia Dolls. This gorgeous piece arrived two days ago but I hadn't had a chance to take outdoor photos until today.

As with all of Kamelia's pieces, this outfit is stunning. A vision come to life. She is exactly as I imagined her and I am over the moon. Without further ado, let me introduce Ailsa, my Light Bearer from a small village called Farnworth.

Theme Music: Ivan Torrent - Glimmer of Hope

"You must find her, you must find the Light Bearer for she holds the key to defeating the Lord of Shadows. Without her, all is lost and Embra will fall to the darkness, its light forever extinguished. Protect her with your life, in this you must not fail Astrid. All of Embra depends on you."

The Seer's words fell heavy on her shoulders, a weight that bore down without mercy. She bowed her head. She would not fail the Seeress, she would not fail Embra. She could not. Even if it meant her life, she would hold strong. She must.

"Where must I go?" she asked softly.

The Seer gazed into the distance with eyes that saw beyond this world.

"Farnworth. There, you will find your path. But you must hurry. Already the darkness spreads ever closer, seeking the Light Bearer, seeking to destroy her."

"I will not fail you Seeress." she rose slowly.

"Take this. It was made of the holy flame. It will be deadly to the creatures born of the darkness."

The Seers fingers wrapped around the hilt of a blade, its steel hummed with an iridescent light. Astrid felt her hands reach for the blade of its own accord, drawn to its song. She hefted it high surprised by how light it felt in her grasp. A whisper brushed against her, comforting. She felt as though the blade welcomed her.

"Now go my child. May the fates guide you."

    1. Kamelia is very very talented. I am really happy with this outfit and really over the moon about how she looks. I can't stop gawking at her. She's definitely a stand out in my doll cabinet.

  2. Your girl is absolutely amazing. And the colours you have chosen for her - fit perfectly. I can't take my eyes out of her. All the photos are beautiful, but I love fifth one the most. The light there was just right. It looks like she is lost but not giving up hope.
I'm greatly touched seeing this outfit on her.
And I am so curious how the story will go.

    1. You did a great job on the outfit. She wears it beautifully. I agree with that particular photo, lost in the woods but determined to solve the exit puzzle herself. I've fleshed out the story a lot more now so I know where it's headed. I've already sorted out the ending too so I am essentially working backwards now.

  3. You would think that lovely and elaborated outfit is a part of the doll's fullset. :) She looks perfect, like she meant to look that way. And I suppose her task won't be easy. She will need all her strength to defeat the dark powers.

    1. The outfit just suits her so well. I am really loving her in it. My fantasy characters don't tend to have more than one outfit. I've never really been interested in having them wear a lot of different outfits. Now I just have to outfit the remaining two fantasy characters I have left.

  4. Ailsa is such a sweet girl and this outfit fits her perfectly! She looks so peaceful and getle, but with the strenght to back-up this gentleness. I know she will be alright :)

    1. She looks like a healer a lot to me, well I guess her mother was a healer/physician so it runs in the family.

    1. She is a sweet looking doll. I don't normally go for this younger looking face sculpts but something about this one always made me go back and look at her again and again.
