I See You

I've been madly creating characters in my Sims 4 game recently just for the hell of it and it doesn't cost me as much money as purchasing dolls for characters! I made the modern version of Astrid (from the fantasy story) for my game. She's a little more grunge and rock 'n' roll than her fantasy counterpart.

I've created a Sim Photo Manipulation of her which I think turned out well. I've listed everything I used below:

TS4 Custom Components:
CAS Trait Poses - Flower Chamber
Replacement Daydream default eyes - Reticulates

Textures from xnienke at deviantART.

It's been too cold, cloudy and rainy here for doll photos at the moment or for much motivation. So I've been playing games instead. Hope your part of the world is much sunnier!

  1. Oh she looks super neat Alasse, but I have no idea how you made her, all that tech stuff is beyond me now. I do like the way she is peeking through her hands and I'm pleased to read you are still enjoying yourself.
    Big hugs,
    X

    1. I just installed some pose mods in the Create a Sim screen, created my Sim, chose her outfits, took photos, cut her out of the original photo and added manipulated layers of texture backgrounds instead and blended until it looked like she was a part of the photo. I love doing this sort of thing, taking several different components and blending them together to make a whole new photo.

  2. She looks great and I like her expression. Do not know the tools you used, I'm more PS user. Textures are nice and I think it is hard at times to find good ones.
Here we have some rainy days, with thunder. The days can be rather humid, do not like it. Thankful for the fan and games.

    1. I use photoshop to blend all the different components together. I enjoy doing photo manipulations a lot. I mostly find my textures at deviantART as most of the creators allow personal use outside of deviantART.

Rainy days can get a bit depressing I think if it goes on for ages. I hope the weather becomes nicer for you.

  3. Oooh, such a nice portrait! She looks so mysterious here...
We had a VERY wet and cold May this year, even some floods (not in my region, bu still)... June so far is quite nice, but it is only one day so far ;)

    1. I'm really happy with how she turned out.

Actually, we are having really cold weather lately. It's not usual for us here in the tropics. And it's been very dark, cold and miserable. Not ideal weather to motivate one to be creative! I'm glad to hear there were no floods in your area though. Stay safe!

  4. She makes me think of some k-pop celebrities. :)
    She looks really cool.
Today it's hot but storms are ahead.

    1. The pose mod I installed were created by another Sim user and I think she must have based it on K-Pop dance routines as I noticed her blog was heavy on the K-Pop references.

Hope things get cooler and more pleasant for you over your neck of the woods!

  5. That is a great looking character. I have no idea of how creating these characters work but like the look of this one :)
We have been having lovely hot days and cooler nights, but oh my gawd, the hot weather brings out so many horrible mosquitoes, the darn things are really biting.

    1. I've been playing her a lot in my game. She is my resident rock star struggling to climb the ladder of fame and fortune. I might post more photos of her at some point. She amuses me to no end.

Oh yeah, I hear you on mosquitoes. We get them here all the time. If not them than sand flies and their bites sting just as much if not more I think!

    1. The Sims game has a lot of mods that can be installed as a lot of Simmers do photo stories of their Sims these days so sometimes they need certain poses that you can't get naturally so other Simmers create mods to allow players to do things like this.

These particular mods are in the Create a Sim screen so when I pick a trait, they do a series of poses and I just capture the pose in game and then cut her out and paste her into an empty image and add and blend in texture backgrounds to create a seamless look. It's a lot of fun. In game photos are cool too now that I found out we can go first person mode in Sims 4. I am loving it.
