The Dark Side

This is I believe Dark Moon Poppy Parker. I purchased her second hand and had her up for sale briefly. There was interest but thankfully the buyer passed on her and I re-discovered my love for her in the process so she is staying and off the market.

One of her eyelashes was coming away so I decided to just get rid of both of them completely. They did leave some tiny white marks but I ended up touching them up with a bit of paint and you can't really tell now.

I also redressed her and I have to admit, I am loving this doll without eyelashes. I kind of want to take off the eyelashes on my IT dolls but just taking off the one that wasn't coming off on this doll was a bit of a chore!! So I won't be doing that unless absolutely necessary.

And what's a photo session without a selfie. I really don't have a name for her at the moment but I'm thinking maybe Melody Moon. Still procrastinating on that.

How is tomorrow Monday already? Ack.

  1. She's beautiful! Good thing that she will stay with you. I really love her face-up, and without eyelashes she looks... somehow stronger, tougher :). And I think Melody will be great name for her!

    1. I am glad she is staying. Those eyelashes were definitely holding her back! I'm glad I was able to get them off without damaging the eye paint. That was just lucky!

  2. She's lovely and she really doesn't need eyelashes. I prefer dolls without eyelashes too. If you remember I took off Akira's lashes when one of them came away. I like her platinum blonde hair and lavender eyeshadow.

    1. Especially I think on Fashion Dolls as their faces are so tiny sometimes I think the eyelashes can look too big on them. Having said that though, I don't think I'll attempt removal of them again anytime soon. It was hard.

  3. Hi Alasse, I'm glad you decided to keep her, she's very photogenic and I really love her colouring. If you hadn't mentioned removing her eyelashes I don't think I would have really noticed, her screening is so perfect. :)
    Big hugs,

    1. IT used to do their dolls without eyelashes and Poppy in particular I thought always looked great without them. I find the eyelashes on her can be a bit of a disadvantage plus these eyelashes sometimes sit way too low for my liking.

    1. They are a great doll and because of their flat feet, they stand pretty well on their own. Although I wouldn't knock the table they are on because they do fall easily but compared to Made to Move Barbie, they are way better at standing alone.

  6. I love her violet eyeshadow. She looks so sweet and dangerous the same time... ;)
So great she stays. I think she is a wonderful doll.
I don't know why - but when I look at her I see Emma.

    1. One of those dolls with angelic appearances but have a bit of darkness in them! I do like her expression, confident and self-assured.

  7. She's very pretty! Isn't it funny how that happens, we think a doll can go then just getting it ready for sale, makes us realise how much we really like it and they stay!
Yes, I've done this more than once in the past!

    1. Sometimes it's the motivation we need to keep them I think. I mean if the buyer was interested I would have let her go. It was just lucky that the buyer decided not to get her in the end that allowed me to fall in love with her again.
