Level of Suspense Lukas Maverick

So earlier this year when I joined up with W Club again, we had three options for upgrade dolls if we wanted to purchase one along with our membership. The dolls are sold at a much lower price tag than the usual dolls in those particular lines.

This year, they had two female dolls and for the first time (at least since I've been a member), they offered a male doll as an upgrade. And it also happens to be one of my favourite of the male face sculpts so of course I had to get him.

He arrived during the week and this is his first blog introduction.

Introducing Lukas Maverick, Level of Suspense edition.

Everything he came with. There was a bit there and I really like the the accessories. He even comes with an earring in one ear! Although that hair, gelled to the nines. Seriously, it was like touching hard cardboard and bits had already started to frizz out from the style. I ended up having to wash the product out. It was one of the stiffest hairstyles I've come across to date.

After his hair wash. I love this longer hairstyle with a more casual feel. I feel like he doesn't look quite as severe now. Although I think with this style, he needs more casual, laidback clothes. IT really needs to do fashion packs for these guys.

The clothing is as always top notch from IT. I love how well made everything is.

Overall, I love this style. His face is arresting to me and really strong. I'm glad I picked him as my upgrade. Does this mean more male dolls in this line on the horizon? It depends, maybe one more but I'm being super picky with the males.

Also arriving late last week was an unexpected purchase of East 59th Victoire Roux. But I will do another post on her later as I want to also do some comparison photos of original Victoire Roux and the updated sculpt.

  1. Congrats Alasse. I like what you've done to him, he doesn't look quite so moody now. I'm not that into the male dolls, I only have one and he was more of a necessity than a desire.
    Big hugs,

    1. I don't plan to have a lot of them to be honest. They're nice eye candy to go on the arms of the ladies here though when I actually start doing model type shoots for these dolls!

  2. He looks much better after the change. He is not so strickt and hard anymore. I love the outfit! Congratulations, Alasse!

    1. I feel like with the hair like this, it's more casual and less ... intimidating.

  3. My first thought was "what's up with the harsh face?" but after some washing and the glasses and a more casual style he looks so much softer! So much better! The clothes look like they are well made! Congrats on getting him home. :)

    1. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who felt his face was a bit harsh and a little bit scary too! He needs to chill out.

  4. What a fantastic purchase! And he looks so much better now, after washing his hair (I HATE gelly hair with passion). A very handsome add to your collection, so congratulations are in order :)!

    1. Same here, lots of gel that makes the hair hard as cardboard annoys me. I always wash the hair of all my fashion dolls. They get quick snaps as is and then go under the tap to get the gel scrubbed off. Don't know why companies go overboard with gelled to the nines hair!

    1. I really love the more looser look to him after washing out his hair. Although to be honest, I don't think I will get anymore males in this line. Clothing options are just not as good as the females.
