I've also been on holidays for two weeks now but haven't been around on the blogsphere too much. Busy catching up on my various K-Drama shows. Recently started watching Hwarang and I am loving it so much.

I was going for a soft concept for him here. I love how the photo turned out.
I decided to showcase all three dolls together. Introducing the sub unit of Vocal and Rap Line (some of them anyway as I don't have all 7 dolls.)
For the curious, this is how it normally looks with all members:

I'd love to get the rest of them but the cost does add up and not sure if I have the funds right now. I am hoping there's a sale at some point and I might be able to get more but we'll see.
DeleteI have plenty of guitars and ukeles here for them. I have to figure out how to make a microphone though!
V is so handsome. :) You collected the best looking guys from the band. Now I'm curious about your further plans. Are you creating a story for them? I haven't watched any k-drama for a long time. I have to check what's popular these days. :)
ReplyDeleteI ended up getting V - that two tone hair is just way too hard to resist and after washing it out, I think it doesn't look too bad. V is my favourite in the band, I almost got him first! He has a really rich soulfoul voice when he sings. It never fails to give me goosebumps when I hear it.
DeleteHonestly, I'm not really sure about plans for them other than enjoying them right now. My energy seems to be geared a lot these days towards the stories surrounding my BJDs as I've decided to tweak again. Me and my endless tweaking!
I just finished Arthdal Chronicles (fantasy themed) and have heard on the grapevine it's possibly going to be a multi-season drama but ... nothing has been confirmed yet.
I've started watching Hwarang which I am really enjoying. I want to see Hotel Del Luna which I have read is really good but so far it hasn't showed up on Netflix yet. Also in the middle of: Are you Human Too? , Scholar who Walks the Night, Orange Marmalade. There are a few more but I can't remember the names. I have them all saved on my Netflix! There is one I am watching about the daughter of a Shaman who has to defeat the soul of a serial killer who has managed to escape the underworld. The name escapes me right now though. It's not bad. The hero isn't the typical flower boy looks type of guy which is refreshing. He's actually quite gritty and rough around the edges.
Such a handsome group! Just as Xanadu said, why stop now ;)? They would definitely need the rest of the band ^^. Lovely photos, I'm still in awe of their face-ups...
ReplyDeleteI know, so tempting to get everyone but funds are in short supply as I have things on order already. Maybe if there's a sale on and there are dolls left but we'll just have to wait and see.
DeleteI read somewhere or saw on Youtube someone talking about the faces. They theorised that perhaps Mattel did the factory face different to try and simulate the repainted look of customised dolls. I thought it was an interesting theory. It certainly does look different from their usual face painting work.
They look great together, but I think you need all of them to complete the group ;)

They do look great together and to be honest, I actually ended up ordering the rest yesterday. Took an "advance" from my tax return this year to pay for them. Hopefully the rest get here end of next week!
