Photo Day

It's always a good day when your dolls don't mind being photographed. Just a small collection of character photos.

One of my favourite faces. Inara, my Bandorai witch and possibly a very great ancestor of Deirdre Quinn. She is one of the very few people left in the world who is able to connect to and use the Old Powers of the great Ancestors.

She wears a gown designed and made by me, one of my first fantasy dresses I designed. I learned a lot, made a few mistakes but was the first time I enjoyed the whole process and liked the end result.

Deidre Quinn, the longest female to grace my home and stay. A descendant of the Bandorai Inara, many generations later. She is a modern day druid and the older sister to Naoise. She runs an inn called, "The Wayward Inn", open to those who need shelter for a time. It's rumoured the inn is a place of rebirth, to discard the grudges and pains of the past and return to the world cleansed and renewed. Some of its past patrons will swear there is something magical about the inn. This has never been confirmed by its owner.

Poor Nera. I have been neglecting her since her arrival. I am still not sure what her story is yet.

Luna's new look. I personally think she rocks the pink look.

Jamal looking like the dangerous bodyguard he is, personally trained by one of the Red Cabal at the request of Ydros. He showed raw talent during his training excelling to top level quite quickly despite his slave status. I really have to figure out his costume though. And still undecided on his final hairstyle.

It feels good to get back to taking photos of my dolls again. I plan to make the most of this for the next few weeks before I go into hospital.

  1. It's good to see you showing your dolls again Alasse. I adore your pretty Nera with her wide eye look and you are right about the pink suiting Luna. :)

    1. I am having so much trouble with picking a wig for Nera though as both Nera and Amalie look great in this wig but I only have one of these and I keep swapping it between the two dolls. Luna seems to look great no matter what I have her in but pink just fits her so well.

  2. Especially after such a long hiatus. I'm just happy that I can finally have some time to take photos again. I like his outfit too but it doesn't fit in with the fantasy storyline I have right now. I've been seriously debating about just putting him into a modern storyline as this outfit works so well on him.

    1. I must admit I have been neglecting them so it's nice to be able to photograph them and catch up on maintenance work on some of them.

  4. It's good to see your dolls again. I've seen that fluffy sweater at Alice's Collections. :) And I have a similar one (for me) in grey colour. I really like Jamal's outfit. And he seems fearless and adroit. He reminds me of Atsushi Sakurai in a way. :) Probably because of his dark eyeshadow and hair. Hugs!

    1. That fluffy sweater is so awesome. I miss being able to purchase from them - they have some nice clothes. I'm just still way too hesitant to order from overseas. Jamal had an outfit change recently and the new outfit is more in character. What he's wearing here is too modern I feel to fit in with the genre his character is in.

  5. Adorable faces and I remember the outfit you made for Inara. The dress suits her! It is nice to have some time over to connect with the dolls again. I need to do that too.

    1. I was so proud of that dress for Inara. It actually worked out and the sleeves were my own experiment design too!
