Aquarius Doll AF16 Jessie [Box Opening]

I mentioned in a previous post that I had placed an order for an Aquarius Doll Jessie. She arrived today and the wait time was right on a month, although I expected longer because I chose to get her with the default face up.

After having a little play with her, I have to say, I am super impressed with her posing abilities and how utterly solid she feels. And I adore the light brown resin I ordered her in. It's such a gorgeous tan colour, one of my favourites in fact. I honestly can't say enough about how smooth my purchasing experience was with Aquarius Doll. One of the most hassle free orders I've had to date.

I'll do a comparison with my Pukifee in another post but suffice to say that it is fantastic to have a doll who has a head that doesn't want to snap back or forward all the time even though my Jessie's head is bigger than my Pukifee's head. My Pukifee does this constantly and it drives me nuts. I might have to look at sueding that area to stop that random head snapping.

On to the box opening...

This box was so light and small, I was a bit surprised actually it contained a doll. Finally, a company that ships in the correct outer box size!

This is really nice packaging. The plastic baggie contains the red wig I ordered with her.

AQ's business card which doubles as ...

The Certificate of Authenticity on the flip side.

Bubble wrapped mummy.

I love that they took such care in packing her face too. Look at that gorgeous colour.

Such a neat headback label. I love that it's actually etched into the headback directly. This means no labels falling off after a few months.

Inside the cap. A lot of companies seem to use that particular putty to hold in eyes.

She came with some rather nice acrylic eyes. I think they're 10mm. They don't look as small as my 8mm and not as big as my 12mm eyes. I love her subtle face up, really brings out that grumpy expression she has.

Wigged and dressed. The hair is a bit big but the colour is nice and the fibre is similar to Monique wigs, which also means it has similar flyaway issues. Not sure if she will be keeping this as her default. I might see about getting some more FMD wigs. I'll also be changing out her eyes at some point and I think I might order some jeans and sweatshirts from TTYA for her. She doesn't seem to be a "dress" sort of character.

I am super happy with her. I think personally she poses just as well as my Pukifee. And I adore the aesthetics of her body sculpt. I think I will be keeping an eye on what else this company releases in the future.

    1. It's one of the better tans I've seen in person. The only other one I really like is my friend's tanning El which has this gorgeous rich dark chocolate sort of colour to it.

    1. She's actually the second reshell for Wren (my first one was an Ante and then I ended up selling her). I seem to be wanting to buy more tan dolls lately. I am still plotting to one day own a real skin brown doll from Luts.
