Usually, I have a hard time photographing this girl, despite how very beautiful she is, I rarely like the photos I take of her. But it seems that the curse may have lifted for a short time.
I rather like this shot for perhaps a cover photo, maybe as a prelude to the current storyline, Gods of Parn. It would center on Rune and her life prior to her tangled involvement with the new Gods.
Another of Rune, contemplating how much better her life would be if the Gods had stayed forgotten by the world. She certainly doesn't think much of the new recruits but she's bound by blood and an ancient promise to answer their call. Albeit, reluctantly.
Nikolos: You don't trust them?
Rune: Any sane person wouldn't trust them. It doesn't matter how innocent they look now, give them a few hundred years and they will have forgotten who they used to be. Their divinity will consume them and eat away the part of them that was mortal.
Nikolos: How do you know this?
Rune: I have seen it, again and again during my many lives. I have watched them rise and fall. Not one has been able to resist. Their divinity is a blessing and a curse.
Nikolos: ...do you remember them? Your other lives?
Rune: Not completely. Only fragments that come to me in dreams. In all of them, I am bound to the Gods until my last breath. Until they are completely forgotten and cannot rise again, I will continue to be reborn. My life is bound to their existence. It's why I want to see them forgotten. Then perhaps I can enter the eternal sleep.
Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteThe pictures are beautiful, and go well with the snippet of story. She has a sort of wistful look... :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. She does always seem to be very wistful no matter what angle I take photos of her. I do love her though. She is one of the favourites.
DeleteThese turned out wonderfully! I feel your pain too, it's always the most beautiful dolls that do the best at not looking quite right in the camera's eye... it's like their beauty is close to impossible to catch!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It bugs me a lot because I would waste so many hours filling my camera card with all these photos and not being able to use a single one. She is the only hard to photograph doll here. Although ... my DZ Cosmo boy is sometimes a bit like that, not as often as her though.
DeleteI have that problem with some of the Fashion Royalty gals... they look so great in person, and just weird as heck in a photograph.
DeleteI have to admit, the only resin girl I've got right now is my WS Limited Olive from Bluefairy, and the girl is a *dream* to photograph XD
Neemos can be hard to photograph too, since their eyes are large decals, they often reflect light badly!
Oh gosh, that is so true about Pureneemos. I have found it a struggle photographing the only one I have at the moment because of that very same reason. I cannot take any photos of her at night because of that. And I also notice, speaking of eyes reflecting light, some of the FR dolls do that too. The Shimmering Copper girl is especially bad and I have to be careful where I position her.
DeleteI hope you post more of your Bluefairy girl. I don't see much of her. I still debate over getting one of their Shiny dolls (probably Clare) to be my Yo-SD girl but I don't know. I love how Bluefairy dolls always look in people's photos and I hear they have pretty good customer service too but I'm concerned if I buy her, a more suitable sculpt may come up later on in the year and I won't be able to get it.
It's frustrating when dolls don't photograph as well as they look in person, but she looks really beautiful here. I love her wig too.
ReplyDeleteIt is a bit frustrating especially as I really want to take lots of photos of this girl but for some reason I have a hard time getting any I actually like enough to post. I've wasted whole photo sessions because nothing I photographed of her has turned out the way I wanted.
