Shopping Haul - Saga 1

So I managed to sell a few dolls recently and was able to purchase a few things I had been wanting for a while. Some of those arrived today, others should hopefully be coming in over the next week or two.

I found out about Q MagicDoll from Heather's blog and decided to give them a try. They have some of the cutest shoes. I bought some Blythe shoes for my Pureneemo girls.

Fit is perfect on both my M Flection body and XS Flection body. I think they all have the same size feet anyway but the ones I bought were a great fit. I will definitely be buying more from them in the future.

More Pureneemo clothing form Azone, mostly for Aimi as she is the most neglected of my girls when it comes to clothing. Minoko unfortunately stole that great outfit set she was wearing a few posts back.

My very first Cu-poche figure. I have to say, I actually like them better than Nendoroids. I only have one Nendoroid and I find her a bit fussy to pose or really play with. Her big head tends to topple her over a lot. She's more there for display than anything else but this girl, she is excellent at posing and handling.

I think I will be getting more in the future.

My Pureneemo Kirino is pretending to ignore her Cu-poche version.

Cu-poche Kirino: Hey, you can't ignore me. I'm right here.
Pureneemo Kirino: Talk to the hand dude.

Pureneemo Kirino: And for the record, THAT is not me.

Decked out in her new top, necklace and shoes.

  1. Great haul! :)
I love QMagicdoll's shoes too, they have such an awesome selectif dfrent styles and colors~ I only own one pair, but have more on the way :)

    When it comes to posing, I definitely think that Cu-poches are better! The magnetic base makes it so easy to balance the figure even without a stand, which is great especially if you want to take photos. They don't seem that popular though, and most of my favorite characters are released as Nendoroids so I do have those as well. I think they look cute, even if the posing (and even getting the figure assembled!) can be such a hassle at times ^^;

    1. The shoes from them are so addictive though. I love them for the detail work they put into the shoes, such tiny tiny details ... I'm in awe.

There doesn't seem to be many of the Cu-poche line released. I actually came across them on flickr from another doll collector and really liked her collection of them. I think I will be quite picky with who I get (cabinet space is becoming a premium here) and I might limit myself to just three of them in total. I love things in threes!

  2. I love those little shoes!!! I need to order more of them too! XD They're so cute, and so well made!

I agree also that Cu-Poche are more appealing than Nendos... I used to have a ton of Nendos, then I got a Cu-Poche and haven't ordered a Nendo since... granted, I did also decide that I wouldn't order Cu-Poche anymore either, that I'm going strictly figma... since these figures have all been increasing in price like mad (like... $20 added 0_0) I just can't justify buying a ton of them anymore.

    1. Really fine workmanship. I am really glad you reviewed them on your blog. I never seem to come across sellers who make stuff like that. Must be looking in the wrong places!

The problem I think is once they start to gain popularity, maybe the makers think it's the right time to up their pricing? I bought my first Cu-poche from Hobbysearch during their recent website sale period so I got her for a decent price. Plus the Japanese Yen is not doing so well right now so it's a good time to buy from Japan. Which is bad news for Japan but good news for those of us who do buy from the country. Every cent counts these days.

  3. I had been looking at some of Q-Magic's shoes too. That's great to know they fit PureNeemo girls so well! :)

Your new Cu-poche girl is adorable. I'm really glad you like her too. I think they are really fun to pose on their magnetic stands. They seem to have quite a bit of personality too.

    1. And they are really detailed. I really love how they look like smaller scaled human shoes.

Thanks to you, I discovered these adorable figures. I have to also watch how many of these I get. I can't fit another cabinet in the display room. I already got a second cabinet when I started collecting the figmas and FR girls.
