Big World, Small Lady

It's been raining a fair bit so now that everything is green, I decided to squeeze in one more photoshoot before we have to close up shop for the impending cyclone (predicted to hit Monday morning).

I call this one, Big World, Small Lady featuring one of my cu-poche girls. The shoot was taken in my yard.

Holiday Haul Plus Backlog

I'm back from Brisbane and don't have as many photos as I wanted. I only had my phone with me as I didn't want to haul down my big camera so I took a photo of the city with my phone camera and the goodies with my big camera once I got back home. Every day was busy and it went far too quickly.

I'll start with "Goodnight Brisbane" which was the last photo I took on the last night I was down there. The weather was beautiful, nice and cold unlike where I live which is always so hot!

The view from the opposite side of the river where I had dinner with my sister. We had a seafood paella (was too dark in the restaurant for a photo), lamb kebabs and tomato salad. It was delicious. We ended the night at a different restaurant for desert. I had Churros with salted caramel and fresh strawberries. My photo of this did not turn out sadly.

The Big Figure Post: Arrivals

When it rains, it pours is the famous saying and this past week was no exception with arrivals.

Today's post will focus on figure arrivals. We'll start the ball rolling with my much anticipated Makise Kurisu (Stein's Gate) 1/8 scale figure.

Like with everything I seem to order these days, she was first released back in 2010 and although there were still some left of her about a year ago, I procrastinated too long and ended up missing out. She was finally back up for pre-order again back in 2015 for a January 2016 re-release and I ended up getting her this time around.

Coffee and Photos

I received my December order from HS yesterday and also did some random photos. I had a meet with my friend today so I hope to get those photos up in the next day or two, meanwhile here are some random photos.

I'm not quite sure what Eve is taking a photo of ... but it seems like it might be something candid as she looks awfully sneaky here.

Nendoroid: Takatsuki Ichika & Photo Day

The new nendoroid that arrived last week, Takatsuski Ichika from Waiting in the Summer. She was first released back in 2012. I was drawn by that vibrant red hair and her cute expressions.

Return to the Small World

I was cleaning up one of my older display cabinets downstairs and found the Tomb Raider sets I had purchased back when T2 first came out. Thought I'd use them to take some photos. I also wanted to use the neat backdrop that came with my Noel nendoroid.

Does anyone else have problems with Blogger displaying their images a bit on the blurry side when they aren't being displayed at their original size?

Dorothy: This is the place but he's late. I don't like this.

New Faces and New Threads

I mentioned in my post yesterday that I came home from the meet on Thursday with some goodies including some new faces ... literally.

But first, let's start off with the girls, Kora and Sif.

I call them my Christmas girls because these lovely dresses made by my very talented friend remind me a little of Christmas.

Feisty Noel

As mentioned in my last blog post, I received my order from Hobbysearch yesterday and I've been just really enjoying the little Nendoroid (my second ever). It's strange as I really didn't touch the first Nendoroid I ordered at all after I opened the box, she sat in the display cabinet and I never wanted to 'play' with her. I always found her a bit hard to pose but when Noel arrived, I was astounded at how very different she was from my first Nendoroid. I loved posing her and playing around with her plus she has such cute expressions.

Enough with the talking and on to the photos ...

Cu-Poche OC Line

For fans of the Cu-poche series, it looks like Kotobukiya are releasing an original character series starting with Cu-Poche Friends Anne.

From the HS site;

"The mood maker that gives me the energy in a bright smile."

It looks like she can wear actual fabric clothing unlike the licensed characters with their PVC clothing. I think she is really quite cute but don't think I will end up pre-ordering her. I am quite interested to see what else will come out in this new series though and will definitely be getting one at some point. I hope this means Kotobukiya are planning on releasing some of their own clothing line for the OC characters.

In other doll related news, my third HS order has shipped and it looks like I did get the last of the Koron girls. I also ordered the Rainy Day Set from Kotobukiya for the Cu-Poche girls so I'm excited to see what it looks like in person especially with this new OC series starting up.

I came across a new company, Banpresto when I saw an announcement at Junkyspot for a new figure they had in stock by them. It's the Q Posket Sailor Moon Figure. She is really adorable and I'm trying to see if I can source her from one of their Australian dealers. You can see their Sailor Moon products on this page. The Q Posket figure is further down that page.

Pullip Mad Hatter and Cu-Poche Saber

It's been a busy morning at the Inn. Not one but two parcels from HS were delivered today. I am still waiting to see if the Pureneemo order has everything I ordered or not but so far, no shipping notice. Maybe next week.

The first parcel was Pullip Mad Hatter (Steampunk World) and the second was the Cu-poche Saber.

There's a few photos so I will put these under the cut...

After the dry spell

I got notice that my Pullip Mad Hatter shipped and she's arrived in Sydney yesterday so she should get here by end of next week if all goes well.

I'm also waiting on another incoming parcel from HS.

Another cu-poche (she will be my third, I will post about the second later), this time, Saber from Fate/Stay Night, an anime I've recently finished watching and fell in love with.

I was lucky enough to get a look at Koron when I visited a friend recently and I was completely enchanted by this model. The blue eyes probably did it for me too.  So I placed an order for her tonight. Hopefully, she was still in stock, I have all fingers and toes crossed!

So much for a dry spell. That didn't last long at all and now I have to start the saving up again. I am considering trying to sell at least one or two of my FR dolls and making some more changes to my bjd collection by letting go of another two or three dolls. I'm not sure yet. The second-hand market for bjds is moving so slow right now. I'll have to mull it over a bit more.

Hoping to get some photos up tomorrow if I get a chance.

Shopping Haul - Saga 1

So I managed to sell a few dolls recently and was able to purchase a few things I had been wanting for a while. Some of those arrived today, others should hopefully be coming in over the next week or two.

I found out about Q MagicDoll from Heather's blog and decided to give them a try. They have some of the cutest shoes. I bought some Blythe shoes for my Pureneemo girls.

Fit is perfect on both my M Flection body and XS Flection body. I think they all have the same size feet anyway but the ones I bought were a great fit. I will definitely be buying more from them in the future.
