Tanning it up

I thought I'd do a comparison of the tan resin I have on hand. I have tan resin from three companies: Dollzone, AquariusDoll and Limwha.

My models today are: Vin, Wren and Nikolos.

AquariusDoll Tan | Dollzone Tan | Limwha Tan

 All these photos are unedited and taken with natural daylight. I also took photos of their hands for a truer representation of the tan skin. Their face up tends to change the colour of the tan slightly.

I will mention here that the Dollzone tan resin was from the first batch of 'new tan' released after the discontinuation of Dollzone's previous tan resin which in my opinion was a richer warmer colour. The first batch was a very light tan. I believe Dollzone changed their tan resin mixture at least twice after this batch after complaints about the lightness of the tan. The newer tan is closer to the original tan resin from what I've heard.

The Limwha tan is very orange in colour and photographs pretty close to what it looks like "in the flesh".

I don't hate the Dollzone tan that I ended up with but I would have preferred it in the same rich colour as the old Dollzone tan, but what can you do? It's grown on me anyway.

My least favourite is the Limwha tan. I saw a photo of an older Limwha Mono and the old tan seemed a lot nicer in tone, more chocolate. For some reason, they changed that mixture.

My favourite is, hands down, the AquariusDoll tan. I love how it looks and photographs. To me, it has more of a pink undertone and it's such a lovely colour to work with.

I kind of wish I had purchased more tan dolls (still kicking myself that I did not order my Luts Ghost Maska in real skin brown). I generally like tan dolls but some tans are definitely harder to work with than others.
