I finally took a deep breath and pried off Classical Alice Sepia's wig. I was surprised at how easy it came off. I must have had one of the ones that had minimum glue. I was glad as I didn't want to damage the stock wig so I can reuse it again later. Although I think I might sew on elastic around the wig cap so it stays on without glue required.
Lucky for me, Eve had the long black wig and I had been thinking of changing out that wig for a shorter one for her so Clarabelle (Clara for short) ended up with the black wig.
I love the colour on her a lot. It's not midnight black but more of a soft black (I think that's how it is described on wig sites). Of course, I had to do a photo manipulation of her ...

Books and Birdcage by Frozenstocks
Love the photomanipulation! ♥ I have no talent at all with manipulations, so I always adore seeing them c:
ReplyDeleteThank you. I enjoy doing them a lot and Pullips really do lend themselves well to this treatment.
DeleteThat Manip is fabulous! You're really wonderful at it and I think they suit Pullips a lot, because to me Pullips are kind of cartoon-y and are very well suited to strange fantasy-like worlds! :D Hope you will do more in the future!!
ReplyDeleteAlso her new wig looks lovely!
Thank you for the kind words Irene. I think they are perfect for Pullips too. Something about the big head, little body lends itself well to this sort of setting. I hope to do more photo manipulations using dolls in the future for sure. I usually tend to do these with 'real' model stock (I upload those ones to my deviantART gallery) but never really thought about doing them for my dolls until recently.
DeleteOh my Alasse! If I could photomanip like that, I wouldn't have to spend a fortune on backdrops! I love the new wig on Clara, she's looking more Wednesday than ever now!! :) She's really is great mate!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
X
Thanks Xanadu! I never ended up getting around to buying those backdrops and wanted something better than a plain white wall for her which gave me the idea to do this one. I knew with that Wednesday vibe going on, she'd do well in a dark gothic type setting.
DeleteI'm really happy with the wig. I just need the fringe to come up just a bit to show her gorgeous eyes more.
