First, my repainted MH girls by Ticuk arrived today and they are gorgeous. I already knew that from the preview photos I saw when they were finished but wow, in person, they are even more incredible.
The repaints were of Freaky Fusion Ghoulia Yelps and Frights, Camera, Action Operetta.
We'll start with Seraphina, my FCA Operetta. I wanted to keep that rockabilly feel but also add a bit more goth to it though and she turned out superb. She still has her attitude and those eyes, so realistic!
Ravena, my FF Ghoulia was "fused" with Draculaura so she came with attachable fangs which is where you can see the hole is between her lips. I don't normally put in those fangs but I might to see how it looks with this more natural face up for her. I love how much sweeter she looks here but still has that Ghoulia smarts about her.
I'm so pleased with both girls and how they turned out. Now I just need to get making them custom clothes!
I was trying to fix Pinea, my Chiika's messy hair today and it wasn't as successful as I would like so I may have to try that Azone Oil Mist that Azone recommends for taming her hair. Even though I hate putting styling products in my dolls' hair. As you can see in that blog entry, her hair is a bit of a hot mess which is a bit disappointing. She is my very first Chiika and compared to the hair on all the other Pureneemos I have gotten in the past, the hair on this girl is not good. Who knows, maybe I will end up re-rooting her if I can't fix it not that I wanted my first attempt to be on Chiika.
I ended up re-dressing her while she was out.
Yesterday, I had another meet with my friend although we ended up doing more gaming than dolling! But I did remember to take at least some photos. Sadly, the Pureneemo group photos didn't turn out at all. Hopefully my friend has some that do turn out!

Ah finally, our two grumpy boys together. Vin (belongs to me) and Jamie (belongs to my friend). I just knew they would get along.

Group photo of everyone on the day. I also got a new Nendoroid that day. I only took one photo of her with Chino but that photo did not turn out.
Not as big of a group as at Christmas but they still look great together. I have no idea what Eve and Isabelle are whispering about at all.

I love their faces blank too, there is a lot of definition there for playline dolls. The repaints turned out so well. I am quite pleased. I can't wait to see what my artist does with Spectra when I can gather more cash for another repaint.
DeleteAh but this is possibly our second last one. We're hoping to squeeze one more in before she moves away to another city as it'll be a while before we can get together again.

ReplyDeleteI am just so happy with these girls. I still can't believe they belong to me. I'm going to have to get a photo of all the custom girls together. It'd be neat to see them lined up like that.

ReplyDeleteThe re-paints are much more subtle, which makes them look more appealing. I am still not fond of the black line on the mouth though. I wish artists would just use a darker lip colour rather than black.
Love the wig on Helen, it's very pretty. I'm glad you had a nice day with your friend.

I'm always in awe of monster high repaints. The girls turned out as I imagined (actually even better) which isn't surprising as the face up artist always interprets my visions quite well.
