Box Opening: Obitsu 50-04 & 48cm body

My 48cm Obitsu girl arrived today. I was a bit worried as she didn't come until late in the afternoon and I normally get my deliveries in the morning so they must have been super busy today. I ordered her from Parabox. They shipped super fast (basically within a few hours of my order! Yikes!). She was in stock though as are most of the items on their website (unless otherwise indicated).

Wearing a temporary wig. I will most likely get her better eyes and I am planning on making her a blonde but for now, here she is dressed. I really adore her face sculpt, even blank. I haven't decided on a name for her yet. I might wait until she gets a face. For now, I'm calling her 50-04.

The box was a lot bigger than I expected. For some reason, I thought it would be the same size as my tallest MSD (45cm Dollzone Hid) but she feels almost like an SD size to me.

She came quite well wrapped in her own box. I saw people mention a plastic smell in their box opening videos but I honestly didn't smell anything unless I actually sniffed the head or body directly. She feels very matte to the touch, not like plastic at all. Hubby actually thought she was a resin bjd but I had to correct him on that. He was really surprised she was a vinyl doll. The 48cm and 50cm bodies do come with a default head which is nice.

The extras I purchased with my order. I think I will get an additional two neck pieces and two extra wrist pieces and the M size bust to upgrade her chest with.

I'm glad I had done the research before buying this type of doll as the neck piece is a bit of a pain to attach inside the head (thank goodness for hubby's help). I've read a lot of people recommend once that neck piece is in the head, to just leave it in there and buy extra neck pieces if you want to switch out heads which is what I'll be doing. (The head with neck piece attached just pulls out of the neck. Easy.)

The 50-04 head which will be getting a professional face up done on it and the 50-02 head which is the 48cm body default head. I was a bit surprised at the huge size difference between the two. I was a bit worried 50-04 might look a bit bobble headed on the slim 48cm body but once she was dressed, it was fine. It was the body she was originally released with anyway for the fullset.

First impressions; totally in love. I will need to get a few extra things for her but that's okay. I love the feel of the vinyl and the body poses quite well. The additional magnetic base it comes with makes a doll stand unnecessary as she can be displayed on her base. Getting the eyes in (the ones I ordered didn't come with back stems) was a bit difficult and I had to keep heating up the eye hole inside the head but in the end managed it. I like the system as it holds the eyes in place, no putty required.

Clothes will probably be a hit and miss as she has a weird body shape. SD clothes are too big for her although tight SD leggings seem to fit but are long and the waistband comes up to almost under her bust line. My slim MSD clothes don't really fit or are too short/small for her. I've read that regular MSD tops may fit her well and SD bottoms (possibly skirts) but I think I may actually have to either look into clothing for Dollfie Dream or alternatively try and sew clothes for her myself.

She's different in an exciting sort of way. It'll be a learning curve that's for sure!
