After patiently waiting and hoping for a sale to happen, it finally did and I managed to get X-Men's Dark Phoenix at a sale price. She came as a twin pack with Cyclops but obviously I was only wanting it for Phoenix.
The figure is amazing with articulated knees, elbows and hands. Her head can also move up and down and I think the painting on this figure is on point. The backing cardboard in the package also had parts of the comic that features Dark Phoenix which is awesome as a backdrop.
She also comes with two Jean Grey heads both beautifully painted. I also love the detailing on the hair for all three heads.
A close up of the Dark Phoenix head.
This is a pretty amazing little figure and will go nicely with my bigger Dark Phoenix doll. This is my favourite of her costumes. I'm pretty happy that I hung out and waited. It was a test of patience though (a year in the making!).
I'm a bit bummed that they didn't have Rogue in the series even though she was shown on the promotional catalogue. Oh well.
She's interesting Alasse. I like the fact you can change her head and the hair is great, but I am not sure of those yellow eyes. LOL! Did they not make Rogue or did you just not find the figure available?

They did make Rogue, I just lucked out on her sadly. She's one of the harder ones to find along with most of the original X-Men.
DeleteThere is something extra special with X-Men and this figure is very well done. Like the idea with changing the head and hair. Bummer with the Rogue figure.
ReplyDeleteIt's really hard to find small X-Men figures that are nicely painted (also perfect size for my dolls!)
