Box Opening: Beyond This Planet Violaine Perrin
The original version of this gorgeous lady had platinum blonde hair, black lipstick wearing the same outfit. That version was available last year through IT dealers, however when it comes to dolls through dealers, I never bother to try for them as they either sell out super quickly or they are usually charged more than the retail price.
So when IT made this alternate version of her available through the W Club through a lottery, I didn't hesitate to enter. Given that a lot of people got the original version, chances were good that I could actually win this for a change.
I did. And she arrived today (well yesterday technically but I picked her up from the post office today after work.)
I believe she will be my first Nu Face girl. In the new designed slim box. She came with a lot of accessories! I wasn't sure about her outfit in photos but in person, I really like the outfit and I don't think it looks too bad on her even with the funky hair colour. She's stunning.
I'm really glad I was able to get her. She really has a lovely edgy feel which I like. I kind of regret not getting more of The Counter Culture Collection last year. I hope there are more edgy dolls this year from IT.
I may have to forsake my bjd plans to get more IT dolls if they do!

Congratulations on winning that lovely lady! She reminds me of my friend a bit (a rock singer also with a nose piercing). I like her hair color and that sequin jacket.
ReplyDeleteI am still happy I won, mind you there were 800 editions of this girl but given how big the club is these days, that was great. Although I think it's mostly due to the fact that people already bought the original and didn't want this one so I actually had a chance at the lottery for a change. Usually I never win.
DeleteHi Alasse,
ReplyDeleteShe certainly is a stunner, I love her screening and the colour of her hair. You were in the right place at the right time, this time around . . . congratulations! She is a beautiful doll and I'm sure you can write a story to incorporate this really edgy style. :)
However, I'm not a real fan of her clothes, but if I saw one nude I'd be very tempted to purchase her myself. Then I could dress her in recreated Balenciaga, Chanel or Dior gowns of the 40s, 50s and 60s, which are more up my alley when it comes to the IT dolls. :)
Big hugs,
X
Oh the stories I could tell of her ... lately there are far too many stories floating in my head! I'm really happy with her and she fits perfectly in with my rule this year of "Get only unusual and different types of dolls." It's good as I haven't spent really that much so far this year!
DeleteThe clothes are that style that you either love it or hate it. Lucky for me, I do like it. I might try it on a different doll though. I have already redressed this girl in silver and white. She looks really nice in those colours.
Congratulations on winning that stuning lady! Her outfit has some 80's vibes for me :) and her hair!!! <3 I love her hair style and color :) Can't wiat to see more photos of her :)
ReplyDeleteOh I didn't even think of the 80s but now that you mention it, that is so true. The 80s were one of my favourite eras too! I'm just glad IT are branching out and braving different coloured hair for their dolls these days.
DeleteWow, she really is out of this world! Love her hair color and hairdo and definitely the outfit. She looks so... refreshingly different :). Congratulations on winning the lottery and getting this fantastic girl!
ReplyDeleteShe does indeed look very different from other dolls I have seen which was the huge draw for me I think.
DeleteShe's really lovely Sandi, and yes, edgy is definitely how I'd describe her too, but in a very polished and upmarket sort of way.
ReplyDeleteDo you change the clothes of these dolls?
I love the nose ring!
xx
PS I'll email you really soon. xxx
Hey Sharon, I think this message was meant for Xanadu's blog maybe??
DeleteRegarding changing of doll clothes, I do re-dress them not all the time but it definitely happens!
What an intresting lady! I'm very happy for you that you managed to get her. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like her. I'm trying to be good and only get dolls that are a little different from what I have currently. It means I spend less money but it's worth it.
DeleteShe is amazing! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteHad to visit IT's site to see some of their dolls - really like the CHARMED LIFE Imogen Lennox™ Dressed Doll. So beautiful!
They have a lot of beautiful dolls. Most of them only have a limited number of dolls that are produced and some of them have even lower numbers than others and those go for extreme amounts on the second hand market.
