I managed to get a photo of the Reckless band today (and the photo didn't turn out all that bad for a group photo). The band consists of three members, each of them play an instrument and also sing. I'll detail more on the members below the cut.
I showed the photo to my husband as I wasn't sure one hundred percent on the band's final sound. Going by the photo of the members, he suggested their sound to be more along the lines of John Butler Trio (Zebra) who are more of a Roots Rock/Alternative Rock genre. I also thought maybe Goo Goo Dolls (Iris) who are also an Alternative Rock/Punk Rock genre and Daughtry (Home) and Kings of Leon (Use Somebody) who both fall under the Alternative Rock genre. I'm not sure if they fully fit into the All American Rejects (Dirty Little Secret) sound which is more Pop Rock / Pop Punk.
What do you all think going off their style/concept/appearance?
Let's meet the members ...
We start off with the youngest member of the band, Seven. The baby of the group and the main vocalist. He is also the songwriter of the group and the main guitarist. He is part of the 'Big Brother' program and is the Brother for Ezekiel. When he was younger, he was in a freak accident and actually died for 7 seconds. He was brought back to life and unknowingly acquired a silent passenger.
The oldest of the group is Nikolas Grey, the owner of the Opium Bar where the group plays a lot of their gigs. He also happens to be half fae. He plays the bass guitar and the violin. He is quite an intelligent man with a lot of world experience. He was also the one who got the sponsorship of Gwydion which enabled the band to perform as they do and own the equipment they use.
The final member is Kaden, the band's drummer and keyboard player. He also plays the piano. He has been described as a musical genius. His parents were disappointed when he decided to pursue a life in the rock music industry rather than on the stage as a pianist. He often creates the music to go with the band's lyrics.
I will eventually have to get all these instruments but that requires funds and as we all know, funds take a while to accumulate.
Incidentally, this group is my SD 70cm dolls. All of them. They take up the most space in my cabinet so sit on the bottom shelf as they're also the heaviest of the dolls. I wanted the band to actually look good together, height wise. Although Seven is 66cm and not 70cm but he still looks fine with the other two.
Happy Halloween tomorrow for those who celebrate it!
What a great band! Yes, I think Goo Goo Dolls sounds great but I have one more band - The Struts. As for the band members I was thinking what Saint would look like as an albino: white hair, white eyebrows and pink eyes. Yes, SD dolls are a bit troublesome in some aspects. I also want an instrument for Akira but I'm afraid it would be too expensive. I'm not sure if you know that Russian girl who makes musical instruments for dolls, she has an IG profile. Her guitars are really well made.
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween!
Oh I haven't heard of the Struts but I will be looking them up. Thanks for the suggestion. Funny you should mention Saint as an Albino as that was the original idea I had for him but alas, he didn't quite turn out that way. It's definitely something I would like to do next time I get his face repainted. And yes, I know that Russian lady. I have seen some of her instruments. They look amazing but pricey. Which is understandable given the craftsmanship that goes into making them!
DeleteSuch a band of handsome guys :)! Considering their... let's say, unusual circumstances, I thought about post-rock - like Music for Messier, Paint the Sky Red, Tides from Nebula and many others. I just recently discovered that genre and I really love it :).
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween for you too :)!
Oh more neat bands for me to look up. Thanks for the ideas! I've recently got into that genre myself. It's an interesting blend of music. I love discovering new bands.
DeleteThree handsome guys! I think they will make great music together and look forward to seeing them when they're performing and have their instruments ;)

It might be a while given the price range of most of those instruments. If only I knew how to make them myself!
DeleteInteresting and handsome trio! No matter what music they end up playing, I'm sure they will all have a fabulous time. :) Rachael reminded me just yesterday, that Facets by Marcia has some great intruments on their website. I already have mine for my jazz band, but there could be something there for yours.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,

Oh I keep forgetting about Facets. They have clothing for Tonner dolls too there. Thanks for reminding me about them. I will have a look at what they have. I just wish I knew how to make them myself but then again, I probably wouldn't have the time!
DeleteI love them all. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you will find instruments for them - but I can imagine it won't be easy. I will look for something in this size on flea markets here. I found a guitar once, but in 1/4 scale. ;)
Oh thanks Kamelia. That would be great. I think your flea markets would be so much better than the ones we have here. Hmm, I might check out the local weekend markets. Maybe I could get lucky... I'm in no hurry though. They will get their instruments eventually even if it will take a few years!
DeleteGreat looking band with interesting stories! Hope they get some instruments and can play soon!
ReplyDeleteI would love to make a stage diorama for them. It'd be huge though given their size. Not sure where I would store something that big but ... it'd be fun to make!
