I did try to take some photos outside but it was so windy and I don't really trust Ari to stand solidly for me. She has issues with that so I never let her stand alone for long. Sadly, I got only one outside photo that turned out well enough for me to show on the blog.
...in which Arianna uncovers her destiny ...
A dream haunts me bearing the signs of prophecy. In this dream, I am called to journey to lands far from my home. Danger follows where I walk. Succeed or fail, death awaits me. The sword of the Ancients lies clasped in my cold hands and in the distance, I hear the wailing of the Shadow King, in defeat or victory, I cannot tell. All fades to darkness and I know no more.

Ooh, so this dress was for you :)? Congratulations, it's beautiful and fits Arianna perfectly! A few things looks so good as emerald-green robes and fiery red hair :). And the cut of the dress also fits story so well!
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I had decided on that wig for her, I wanted a dress in this colour. I thought it would really offset that hair and eyes and I am very much over the moon with how it looks.
DeleteShe is so beautiful! I'm so happ I could sew a dress for her. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm happy you accepted my commission! My little Witchling has finally come to life. She is just as I imagined her and I am so over the moon. Thank you again. I never imagined I could have an actual fantasy group for my bjds and you've made that dream come true!
DeleteI'm so happy I could help! :)
DeleteA witch? I would rather say: a sorceress. She's too pretty to be called a witch. ;) She looks fantastic in her new dress. Very graceful. And she's got a sword so she can use cold steel as well as magic. In the last photo she reminds me of Lady of the Lake.
ReplyDeleteOr an Enchantress? She doesn't mind being called a witch. I have two distinct rules for what constitutes a witch and a mage. She's a witch that can fight as well so she doesn't always have to relay on magic to battle, although that doesn't mean she doesn't boost her fighting skills a little with magic.
DeleteAri looks beautiful in her emerald green dress Alasse and I almost agree with Nana, she's far too pretty to be a witch, but who said witches cannot be pretty? Afterall they can conjour up all sorts of spells, so why not one for good looks?
ReplyDeleteThe backdrop you have used is perfect and if you hadn't said you had only taken one shot outside, I wouldn't have noticed they all weren't . . . I tend to focus on the doll and not the setting, well most of the time anyway. Love the sword too. :)
Big hugs,
X
Well that's true too. Witches can certainly be pretty, especially if they happened to be a pureblood descendant blessed by the Goddess of Magic!
DeleteI really wanted to take photos outside but it was so windy yesterday and she's sadly not one of my solid standers. I need to rig up something to hold her in place when I take photos outside. Even with shoes on, she's still unstable. Maybe I need to figure out how to wire her legs.
P.S. The new header looks great mate!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I really wanted to use a fantasy style one this time and I've gone back to my dark backdrop which I like.
DeleteOh, I saw that dress on Kamelia's blog and thought it was a beautiful dress. So did my youngest daughter, when she walked by and saw it. Arianna looks great in it!
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous and beautifully made. It sits perfect on her and I love the colour so much. It is just amazing. Now I only have two characters left in the fantasy crew to dress.
DeleteThis is a beautiful outfit on her Alasse, she looks perfect in this rich emerald green colour, with her red hair. I like the sword too. They're great photos, I wish my photos taken inside looked so good!

The dress is amazing on her. I need to take a photo of her and Ailsa wearing their dresses together. Given that the storyline is one of friendship through all odds, I think my trio of friends (Ailsa, Arianna and Mareth) will make a picture perfect group!
