Playtime for Francoise

Today, I am feeling well enough to take some photos so I decided to pick a doll that I haven't taken photos of for quite a long time. She is Francoise Arnoul from 009 Cyborg. She is a Pullip made by Groove and released in 2012. Pullip and Junk did a great overview of her here. I bought her in 2016 and she's been with me since.

I changed her out of her official costume and into something more petite.

I really adore her sweet face and lovely blonde hair. And she poses pretty well. I had her sitting on a swaying branch at one point with the wind blowing and she never fell off. Had that been my bjd, it would have been a disaster.

Taking photos of Francoise made me realise why I fell in love with these dolls. And I've been wanting Kore but she is hard to get so I won't hold my breath too much for her. I will get up a profile page for these girls at some point.

Still mindful to take things slow - I'm feeling better but I don't want to overdo it.

Happy Sunday!

  1. She's lovely Alasse. I really like Pullips they have very sweet faces. I've only owned one but I sold her when I decided to cull my dolls...I had to stop somewhere. :)
    Big hugs,

    1. I only own 5 Pullips and have no real need for more unless I somehow manage to get Kore who is the only Pullip I really want and at a reasonable price. But if I don't get her, it's no biggie. The only thing is, I'm always afraid to push in their closed eyes in case it gets stuck and I can't get it out again!!!

  2. She's a gorgeous Pullip! And that outfit really suits her. It makes her very romantic and girly. I prefer Obitsu bodies but original bodies are better in some situations when it comes to stability. I'm glad you're feeling better. I wish you all the best!

    1. I actually have three Obitsu bodies (the newer versions). I haven't figured out yet how to rebody my Pullip dolls. But I would like to change the bodies of at least 2 of the dolls eventually. I haven't used the closed eye switch a lot as I am scared it will get stuck and I won't be able to undo it!!!

    1. There's just something about the Pullips overly large head on its tiny body that screams "cute"!

    1. I don't like my chances of obtaining a Kore unfortunately at least at an affordable price that I would be happy to pay. She seems to go for high prices if she does come up. Seems to be the way of the doll hobby though these days sadly.

  5. I hope you are doing OK Linda. The problem with getting better is my life gets busy again and I don't have as much time as I would like for my hobbies.

  6. She is adorable and so petite! In the beginning of my BJD and doll journey I had my eyes on some Pullips and Blythes, but I never bought one. I would be lovely to just take a trip to the Finnish Store in Helsinki and buy one.
Stay safe and take it day by day!
